  1. Hi again. For level 1, it would be up to your GML. For level 2, we would want to see a better fit.
  2. Welcome Vasco, you have come to the right place to begin your journey. Here is a great resource to get you started. Take the time to do your research, it will pay off in the end.
  3. Hello Andreas, welcome to the FISD for the rear cover strip closure, you may need to warm up the ABS and form it to fit better. A hot water bath is recommended over a heat gun as the ABS will go from mouldable to ruined in a fraction of a second some have succeeded with the heat gun but it is a big risk. With respect to the boot, ideally it should not buckle under the shin armour. You could try inserting something in the boot to make it fit more snug, or slightly enlarging the size of the shin at the bottom.
  4. Welcome Sandra.
  5. I have the blaster factory metal E11. It I looks amazing and is quite heavy. I would not try putting it into the holster but even with the weight, I have no problem trooping for a couple of hours with it. The best is when you pass it to a handler or other members to hold and watch their reaction to how much it weighs. one caveat though is that some troops will not allow metal blasters. Tomorrow I am at galaxies edge in costume and can not bring it into the park.
  6. Welcome Ronald
  7. Welcome Max.
  8. Hi Steven, welcome
  9. Welcome Alex
  10. Yep - that as well as aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper - I usually come back when they comment about our aim with " We were ordered to miss".
  11. Hi John. unfortunately as far as I know, Tramp is no longer taking new orders. Many use the Icomm system @ukswrathsells these and I think he may have fan systems as well. look at troopacoola for blasters. I think you can get finished ones from them and fans as well
  12. Welcome James. Looking forward to your build
  13. @Stardust665 we will get a list together in the next few days.
  14. Hi Angie, Thank you for making the requested corrections for your EIB application. Your thermal detonator looks much better and is now good to go. Unfortunately, the sniper knee plate on the left shin is still not positioned correctly. I know this must be frustrating but we want to keep the approval requirements consistent between applicants. References On the above photo, the blue line shows the path of the top of the ridge of the shin armour. The red line shows the path of the top of the ridge of the sniper plate. These two lines should follow the same path as you can see in the references. One other thing you may consider is trimming the angle a bit deeper on the knee plate. This would make it more screen accurate but is not required for EIB approval.
  15. @fletcher Hi Richard. Thank you for your EIB application. We will put you in the queue for approval but as Glen mentioned, we will need you to post all of the required photos before we can begin.
  16. Welcome aboard Preston
  17. Welcome Chris
  18. Welcome back Anthony.
  19. Welcome back Anthony
  20. Hi David, Thank you for your patience while we worked through your approval. Your costume looks great but will need a few adjustments to achieve EIB approval status. In some cases, your photos are from different times, and this makes the approval process a bit tricky. Some of the requested changes may already have been made, so when suiting up for the next set of photos with the requested corrections, you can simply swap out the corrected items in the new photos (for example the hand plate issue). Below are the corrections we will need for EIB approval; Shoulder Straps: Your shoulder straps are lifted in the back. Ideally, these should be sitting flush with the back piece. A hot water bath may help to curve them more for a better fit over the shoulders. Your small white elastics appear to be forward on the shoulder straps as well. These should be farther back and may assist in holding the backs down against the back plate. References Shoulder Armour: We will need you to remove the decal from your left shoulder bell for EIB and Centurion approvals. Hand Plates: Your hand plates are attached to your forearm armour but should be sewn to the gloves for level 2 approval. If you are wearing rubber gloves, they may be left as is. If you opt to use the silk or satin gloves, then the plates will need to be sewn there. CRL L2: If silk or satin gloves are worn, the hand plates have the correct visible stitching with a 5 point/star pattern, equally spread out with 2 on each side and 1 in the middle front, double stitched with 2 holes at each point and sewn to the glove at each one using black thread. References Posterior Plate: Your posterior plate is sitting back from the kidney plate. They should line up in the same plane. This can be corrected with the placement of some "V tabs" to secure the armour pieces in alignment. References Thermal Detonator: The screws on your thermal detonator will need a touch of black paint. CRL L2: Clips shall be attached with slotted type, flat or dome top style screws, and be black (two per clip). References Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
  21. Welcome Robbin
  22. Matt, you have done a great job on this costume. Looking over it as compared to the CRL, here is what your GML may point out. 1. You appear to be missing the retention snaps with the black button closure on the holster. I am not sure if it is just obscured in the photos 2. Overall dressing, your knee armour could be better lined up with your shins - the reduction of the baggy undersuit above the shins may help this as well
