  1. Congrats Dave. Welcome to EIB. Well done. Hope to see your centurion application in the near future.
  2. Looking good Todd. Good luck on your approval.
  3. The armour looks so much better. Great job. Good luck to your daughter.
  4. I am almost the exact same height and weight as you. I have an AP set and the extra sizing for the ab section was great. The calves and forearms are a bit snug, but not uncomfortable.
  5. I saw your Facebook post and agree, your face is shifted to the left. You just need to undo the rivets and re-attach it. I think the rivet hole on the left side will end up under the curve of the cap but if it doesn’t, it should be an easy fix with some ABS paste.
  6. Looking better. This video by @CableGuy helped me a lot.
  7. I am not sure if I am correct with this statement, so please someone correct me if it is wrong. with respect to the ridges along the forearm (the “ladder like” area). I feel that those should line up more with your elbow than the top of your forearm. That way, the curve on the opposite side fits better into the inner aspect of your elbow when you bend your arm. Looking through screen references, some do seem to have the “ladder area” along the top of the arm, but I suspect they twist when moving about. On your right forearm shot, you can see the curve is not in the area or line where your elbow will bend, which may be uncomfortable. you can see in the photo below, the inner and outer aspects of both forearms.
  8. Keep up the good work. You will be happy with those boots. confidence will build like a snowball rolling toward a rebel base on Hoth.
  9. Hello Lucian’s. Welcome to the FISD. Lots of help can be found here. Make sure to ask lots of questions. Looking forward to seeing your build.
  10. Welcome back Joseph. Hope all is good now
  11. Looks good Matt. Hope to see EIB and centurion applications next.
  12. Hi Jonathan. Looking forward to following your build
  13. So exciting. Make sure to take lots of unboxing photos.
  14. Hi Vinny. Welcome e to FISD. I think everyone dreads that first cut or taking that return edge down too much and ruining the kit. My advice, look at references (Glen posted good links above). Read the CRL over and over for the part you are working on. Once you are comfortable, lightly mark the piece with pencil and if you really are worried, post pics up to have people look at it. There are lots of great people here ready to help. When trimming, trim a bit less than you think you need just in case, as you can always trim off a bit more but can’t get back if you over trim. Make sure to start a build thread, so we can follow your progress and give pointers. Once you get going, it gets easier and easier and the end result will make you feel so incredibly happy.
  15. There may be a hypoallergenic chemical glove option or I think I recall seeing some that were lined on the inside. you could also try wearing another glove underneath to avoid contact with the glove material.
  16. Congrats on your first troop.
  17. Welcome to the FISD Thomas. Looking forward to follow your build.
  18. The AP kit comes brilliantly clean and white. The photos show weathering likely from use.
