Hey everyone. I recently picked up an Elegoo Saturn 2 printer. So far have been very happy with it once I got over the initial bumps of figuring out the supports.
‘I am using Lychee slicer for setting up the print files and using the Siraya Tech resins. Started with fast but now am doing a 80:20 fast to tenacious ratio and it is working very well.
issues I have had were mainly when printing with 100% tenacious resin for some shoulder bridges on my death trooper build. Had to increase the exposure time to avoid getting mush prints.
My thighs were the same at the bottom with the ridges. I believe the placement in your first photo is correct.

Hi Thomas. Welcome to the FISD.
most use imgur for posting images as the forums allow for very limited images.
‘Here is a link on how to do it
“Armour Anxiety” is a real thing and that first cut is very intimidating. My advice is to ask lots of questions before you do something that is not easily fixed. There are lots of people here that are happy to help. You have started a build thread and that is a huge first step.
Looking forward to seeing your build progress.
Let me know if you can’t find anything, I can send you some if I have some left, or could pick it up for you as I am in there a fair bit since I am working on 2 costumes now.
I got mine at a local sewing store called Len’s Mill. They have a huge selection of fabrics and I just wandered around until I found one that had a shiny look to it. Not sure what type of material it is though.
Hi Tyler.
‘Welcome to the FISD.
I have an AP kit which allows for a bigger birth but not necessarily height. I trooped yesterday with someone who has an AM kit and he is substantially bigger than me and it fit him very well.
I am 5’10” and about 215 pounds.
Here is a photo of us (figured this was good for a fellow Canuck). I am in the AP kit on the left and he is in the AM kit on the right
Hi Andrew.
you are in the right place to ask questions and get comfortable. It does seem overwhelming at first, but there is lots of help and support here and in no time, you will not feel so overwhelmed
Built a spray booth for airbrushing as it is too cold to do anything outside. There is an inline boost fan and the exhaust goes through an air purifier that has good VOC removal capabilities.
In the booth, there is a filter over the exhaust and bright LED lights so my old eyes can see better
