I completely forgot to update here after the armour party. I didn't even take any progress photos. All the parts are rough cut out. A few still need to be trimmed a little to size right. The few that are sized right I need to get out to the store to grab some sanding papers to sand down the edges on the inside so they aren't too rough, a suggestion given to me at the armour party that I hadn't thought of. My progress was more in learning what steps i need than physical progress. Confidence is rising. Just need more time to actually do things. I tried to ask questions as much as I could to pick at the depths of knowledge of the approved TK's that attended. One even had his kit there to look at. Where all his straps are, how the peices look together when not on a person, or attached to other parts. It was really helpful to see what the pieces look like alone.

Sorry. Slow going. After a busy stretch of events. I ended up getting sick. SO didn't so much. I feel hecka lot better than i did, just a lingering cough for the last couple weeks... I did manage to get the majority of the pieces trimmed the excess off. Think some might need a bit of trimming just to fit to size. But!! There is an armour party planned for this weekend. So we will see what progress happens there. Not been to an armour party in a loooong time. So will be fun either way! Hopefullly leaps and bounds of progress photos to come >.>

There's been alot of amazing replies to this. And I'm sure there are interactions that didn't go in the best way. It happens. We aren't perfect. And to those people they may not appreciate us, or talk bad about us for that one experience. All we can really do, is try our best to always do what we can to show a shining beacon of goodness and continue to do the good works that we do do. We will never please everyone. No matter how hard we try. Just keep trying to better ourselves. So we can better everyone else!!

Maybe next year I will have my TK done to do a pride photo with it... will definitely be interested.. My mando armour is permanently painted in a pride representation albeit subtle and every June I do rainbow somehow in my hair, if out of armour photos are submitable... >.>

Derp! Yea. Shin! Anatomy! Lol. Yea. I was more excited that I finally started than anything! Was at Comicon this weekend. Was Inspecting and studying the TK's we had. Especially the AP Guys get a real good look at what I'm supposed to look like when i'm done!

So! It's out of the box!! I started trimming on one of the thigh pieces. Tapped together. Pretty sure it still needs to be trimmed more yet. But I just ran outta time last night. Seeing as had to also get ready for May the 4th event. and This weekends comicon! BUT Its started. And thats the most important bit of this! I CUT SOME STUFF!

Well. The magnets, clamps, helmet bag, and straps and snaps i ordered have all shown up. I guess all that is left is to start building... Got a few events to attend tomorrow and this weekend. And a zoom meeting tonight. So take a few days next week to recover after it all. And then hopefully get cracking on this project!

Well. I haven't done alot in the way of the plates yet. BUT I did order my boots, materials for straps. I ordered a pair of scissors that I was recommened to buy as they would come in handy for trimming. I ordered earth magnets, clamps, and a Helmet bag (Well.. two.. my mando needed one tooooo) I've grabbed blue painters tape, a ruler, and I think most of the other tools I was recommended to buy. The only purchase needed might be new E6000..... Soooooomeone might have glued the lid on it.... I swear. It wasn't me!! Honest >.> Bloody Mandos! Nothin but trouble! Long live the Empire. We'll see if i break it all outta the box and work on it. Or if it waits, we could be moving in the next couple months. HOPEFULLY, i can get some time in here to actually work on it. Got a few pestering me off and on to get at it! SO here's hoping!!

Hey, My names Thomas, they/them, from Sask Canada. Been a mando merc for years. Got an officer approved last summer. Originally went with a mando as i didn't want to be a boring white armour... thennnn... seeing groups of troopers at cons.. I decided I HAD to be one of them. Funny how opinions change in time! Got my BBB in Decemer. Will hope to start building when repairs to the mando are complete!!

I got it almost a month ago.. still sitting in the box. Kinda a lil anxious to start. And trying to finish my mando project just taking longer than planned. Will start soooon. I hope! First stormtrooper attempt! Was gonna add a photo... but it tells me they are all too big...
