  1. Ok got it. Answer is No. good? Jk Basically both of them are right With the diagram on the left the rivet would be directly centered under the square. With the diagram on the right the river would be off center under the square. I would stick with the left diagram. It’ll keep everything centered and you won’t have to worry about something not fitting under the square. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Not sure if it helps but the L3 of the CRL states Drop boxes must have full inner drop boxes to close the back. Flat covers are not allowed. Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. The corners of the plastic ammo belt shall be trimmed at a 45 degree angle that that meets the outer edge of the cloth belt. The top of the ammo belt should sit at or just below the bottom of the central and vertical abdomen button panels. So I’d keep them aligned with the edge of the belt. Even if you don’t go level 3 you can’t go wrong Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. You won’t be disappointed with the armor. As for the other stuff there are a few sales threads on here for some of that soft goods or Trooperbay.com. As for the boots I think but I’m not sure imperialboots.com is open, they work in runs, you might want to jump on that cause they’ll probably be closing soon. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I don’t. I just know it was a cheaper generic bag. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I just wear mine all the time... Seriously mine fits but you can buy custom bags for them they run pricy but are awesome looking. For a while I had mine in a generic $20 motorcycle helmet bag and it fit fine. I only took it out cause I made room. Word to the wise though the interior was a fuzzy black and got fuzz all over the helmet which stuck with static. You could clean it off but it was getting in between the plastic and HOVI tips so it became hard to get out. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Looks good but I’m confused why you made an ankle bracket instead of a belt? Oh wait never mind, that thing might fit my thigh. Damn you high metabolism people! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. I’m not familiar with the other detachments but I came here a year ago knowing nothing afraid I’d ruin a very expensive piece of plastic. Found that the first cut is the hardest. Measure three time before you cut anything and if something does go wrong there are ways to fix things and most makers have spare parts you can get which are fairly inexpensive compared to a complete set. The knowledge on this forum is amazing. Go through some of the different build threads and you’ll see some detailed builds which help a lot. I’m fairly partial to the being shiny and clean so if you decide to stick around we’re more then happy to help. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. WTF is good armor. They make quality stuff. As for building people are more then willing to help on line. Just make sure you ask questions post pics and don’t do anything your unsure of there are tons of videos out there as well. As for you the help. We are the home of the shiny white. For Nova Trooper go here https://specops501st.com And for sandy go here http://www.mepd.net Those are the forums that will best be suited to help with a build. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. You: This is not the build thread your looking for New FISD members: Your right it’s not your ab buttons are upside down. Come on guys let’s check out that Bud Spakler guy he seems to know everything, but I hear he’s a low brow TK stunt that uses binders, a com mic, and chatter when he troops. 10. Sorry for the delay, being on nights causes me to sleep most of the day but.... Speak for yourself, Matt! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. My garrison doesn’t have a sexy pose, that’s disappointing. If it were me I’d try and get the biceps up a bit but that’s me I’m not a GML. Other then that I think you did a great job. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Lesson learned hopefully you can make sure nobody else you know gets caught in that trap. Welcome aboard. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Option A trim the red line add the strip and make the strip angled like the angle Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Go build! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. A-hem... sorry had to clear my throat. I think it looks good too. A-thirdgarrisonmatetocomment-hem, sorry still gotta clear my throat, it’s been a crazy morning. Huh look at that it’s still morning. Anyway I’m in Garrison Carida and I approve this message. (Subtle enough?) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Looking good. Slight adjustments but I like the way it’s coming out. Side note... What’s up with the chicken hanging with the tools? Does he just hang around and help when needed? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I too use the icomm with aker and Bluetooth head set. Speaker hangs around my neck behind my armor and the icomm sits in a small pouch I made inside the chest. Only issue I have comes from feedback due to the Bluetooth. I’m working on fixing it cause I think it’s got to do with the mic and speaker being close cause it usually happens when I tilt my head down. It’s not often but once is enough. 18. Spoiler alert!!!! I don’t think you’ll have a problem with higher levels. Looks great and I love the detailed explanation. It’s gonna be a huge help for future troopers. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Looks great. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Everything is looking great. I apologize if this was previously stated but do you plan on keeping all the return edge? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Nice job on everything. I’m sending over some orders for holsters I need about 20 by tomorrow to get the business started. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. It’s the new bearded trooper. I think they are in the next film. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Sooo close Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. I had the same issue with mine. I was using templets and went through a few pairs of them. I was told if you do light strokes with like no paint on the brush it’ll help with the bleed out. It’ll take forever to paint but it’s supposed to help. I ended up using the temples with a new black sharpie. Worked for me, and it was easier, I don’t have a steady/or a light hand when it comes to painting nor was I patient enough. Helmet looks great though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. They were present and I’ve gone through and watched quite a few applications where people have passed with glaring mistakes and others have been kicked back to fix things. I’m also not arguing that they will put off people. I’m just giving my opinion that it would put of me and I find it hard to believe I’m the only person in the world with these feelings. And who comes up with these “realistic targets” for armor? I don’t think anyone in this forum was involved with original builds. All we have are screen shots and pics of one or two actual used suits. If you want it to be exact let’s call in help from someone that built this stuff so we don’t have the same few people putting their opinions in on what they feel is accurate cause they are looking at a pic. Correct me if I’m wrong cause I am new and don’t know what went on prior to joining maybe this was already done. Can anyone call themselves a TK expert? Most experts gets lots of training.
