  1. David just completed his build and has a lot of links and reference material. Check out the build if you haven't already:
  2. Instead of rivets for the face to back of helmet connection I used a bolt and nut (easy to undo and reposition). Once you have it completely built, then go back and rivet if you want.
  3. Will follow your build thread when posted, AM is a great kit!

  5. Dude, I feel for you! Learning curves are a biatch, but thank you for documenting your progress. Watching with interest! lou
  6. Congrats and way to finish so fast trooper! You were receptive to comments during your build process and did a fantastic job. One of the thousand!!!
  7. I have Dan's holster and Justin's rifle/pistol mounting. I believe Justin also does the holster: Machined metal components - Justin Morrison Parts for Blaster rifle and pistol mounting, Resin holsters and other greeblies, machined metal components and more. Email Here https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/219-quick-find-resources/
  8. It's the troopers suit and he/she can sell it. Where I think this went wrong is linking it back to the official show. Just an opinion, but 14,000 is going to get the attention of LFL and not in a good way.
  9. You can lose some of the top return on the biceps, that will be covered by the bell.
  10. I know when I trimmed my forearms, I had to use a tapered cut. troopers are wonky, leave any ocd at the door (I know I had to).
  11. Welcome! If you need help/advice on choosing some armor, let us know your height/weight. Check out the getting started section: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/38-getting-started-read-this-first/
  12. Can you post pictures of the TD, show the clips and possible to include a ruler next to clip? Curious to see if it was folded incorrectly or if there is another issue not letting you push it further down.
  13. If you haven't already, go for a troop in the neighborhood for 30+ min. Go up some steps, slight hill, down the same. Put the snaps to the test and check for armor bites (might need to remove some return). This would help as you are going to make the second set of armor. Easier to find out now and incorporate into the build. That being said, you will still have some adjustments when we can get back to 3+ hours of a troop. Great job by the way!
  14. Hello fellow Georgian! Great to see another shiny white trooper, and going for Centurion out of the gate is great! Start a build thread and we can help you get to trooping soon. @Scimitar @Cricket. Both Christine and Eric are in the garrison and active on the FISD.
  15. Keep the questions coming! Look at those other AM builds, Firedog above is doing the same build so you guys are now build buddies. When you hit a snag or question, more than likely it has happened to others and we all want you to succeed. Keep in mind no matter how well you build it, you WILL make changes after your first troop! But those changes are specific to you, and only you will know after wearing the armor. Is seems daunting to make it, but the satisfaction of building and seeing the smiles from all the kids is awesome!
  16. Check out AJ's AM build thread and a few that are ongoing. You have some reading to do (but it is a great topic) and it should address any questions you might have on specific AM kits. Look at EIB and Cent submissions for AM armor, you can see the "finished" product. As part of the submission, there are links to their build threads. My suggestion is to build to Cent now, its not much more work and easy to do it as part of the original build versus having to make changes to a built kit. Here is my strapping, I used the rivets to hold the snaps and both sides are using tandy with a nylon strap. I did make my right side function strap with a tab system. Ultimately the belt helps hold the pieces together.
  17. Look above in this thread, there is a post on how to use imgur (free and easy)
  18. Still plugging away as I get time. Made a reinforcing brass connection to put the scope back together.
  19. The one printed in resin is awesome and has hardly any sanding needed. Feels very sturdy and uses the fifth horseman files (so they are super accurate). I have a build thread where I am adding electronics to it.
  20. You will need to host your pictures, I use imgur. There is a thread on FISD on how to use it. Here it is:
  21. In this shot you can see the lines before any e6000 was added Make sure to remove the bottom return when sizing Keep up the good work! I found the legs to be the hardest of the build for me.
  22. Congrats Trooper! We will see you soon at EIB!
  23. I have an AM kit, so I am not 100% sure if my fix would work, but I had to extend out the sniper to help clear my knee cap (see the blocks of plastic between the plate and shin)
  24. Paging @Cricket for "aren't you a little short" Welcome to the adventure, troopers have the most fun!
