  1. Great job, Carl. Welcome to EI. [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Good progress. Look forward to seeing it come together. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Exciting times. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Looking excellent. Can’t see you having any issues with basic. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Welcome across from the blaster section, Freddy. With your outlook from the start, I’m in no doubt that you can achieve Centurion. Ask away with any questions you might have. Great choice with RS. Have a read through some previous RS builds to learn of their quirks (for example, the shins - I believe they provide two of the same, rather than a dedicated left and right). Looking forward to following your journey. :-) Best wishes Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Whoop!! Well done :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Assuming your drop boxes are held to the main belt with a strip/loop of elastic, just a little blob of glue (I used E6000) or a small stitch holding the drop box elastic to the canvas belt. Just stops it moving out of place. I’ll PM you an example - don’t want to muddy your application with pictures of other kits. Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. Wow - great job, Peter!! Just a little thing that might get flagged - those drop boxes aren’t quite lined up in all of the photos. They should be aligned with the outer edge of the plastic belt. If they move around, a little stitch or glue could be used to keep them aligned. Oh, and the thermal detonator screws could do with a coat of black paint. :-) Amazing armour. Best of luck with EIB. 9. Well done. Welcome to the front line. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Hiya I was one of the above that thought I’d avoid trooping with my self-built blaster. Spent a couple of months building and modifying nearly every part of my Doopy’s (thanks to Tino’s excellent kit), then bought a rubber blaster for trooping. However, with all of that time and effort spent making a blaster, I haven’t Trooper the rubber blaster once!! The Doopy’s is pretty solid when glued and screwed - I’ve trolled mine 4 times now and haven’t been concerned at all. Building a blaster is very rewarding if you have the time to assign to the task. 11. Nice job, Jenny. Very neat. :-) A little thing that might need updating for clearance would be to paint your thigh ammo pack fixings white. And, I wouldn’t be the “Tube Stripe Sheriff” if I didn’t mention that yours may have been applied to the opposite cheeks (99% of people won’t notice). This will NOT affect clearance - just a little tip should you make another lid in the future. :-) See here for what I mean: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/44755-tube-stripes-anh-stunt-dave-m/ Best wishes, Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Superb!! Job well done, sir. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Nice work, Carl. [emoji106] Just a couple of little things that might be flagged during your application. It looks like the paint may have rubbed off of your side rivets. Ideally, your drop boxes would be lined up with the outer edge of your ammo belt. Best of luck with your app. Nice to see an ESB trooper in the ranks. 14. Hi bud. I posted in both sections to spread the word a little further. I’m not sure what the traffic is like in the paint section, so added to the armoury section too. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Ah - so that’s what you look like. ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Great job, Ilan. :-) Looking good for EIB. Based on previous applications, I’m guessing you might be given the suggestion of shortening the straps on your shoulder bells to reduce the gap. Here’s a ref pic. Just one other tiny thing - the cod and butt plate fixings are usually left un-painted. I don’t think either of these will get in the way of your application - they might just come up as suggested improvements. Excellent job!!! [emoji1] Best of luck. 17. Hi all, As a very proud member of the 501st UK Garrison, I just wanted to share this with the worldwide trooping community. Words from the UK Garrison Facebook page: “Remembering our founder, Graham Campbell, on the 14th anniversary of his passing on 9th May 2004. From the 10 troopers that Graham founded the 501st UK Garrison with on 23rd March 2000 to the 536 we have today, his legacy has continued to grow and flourish. Lids off troopers as a mark of respect for the sad loss of the man with the vision that started this journey for us. "You are the men of the Imperial Army, Let's go to work..."
  18. Thank you for chipping in, Greg. You did a superb job of correcting them and I really appreciate you sharing your fix. Best wishes, The Sheriff.
  19. Hi all. Rather than me posting on specific threads, I thought I’d make a post about the correct use of the “Dave M” style decals/templates for ANH Stunt lids. If it is deemed worthy, perhaps it could become a sticky. I will then try my best not to mention it on individual posts (as the last thing I want to do is upset anyone). As the name “Tube Stripe Police” was bestowed upon me, I feel it’s my duty to try and spread he work to keep up the high standards of TK screen accuracy. I hope I have not become a nuisance by flagging it. So, here are some shots of the Set for Stun, or “Dave M” helmet from ANH. These pictures are from the excellent website www.starwarshelmets.com My interpretation of these stripes are that they were intended to look like vents on a curved surface. When viewed from straight on they should naturally curve with the tube. Here are some shots that I put together (using my old SDS lid, hand painted stripes using Dave M style templates/stencils from Mike at Trooperbay). For obvious reasons, I won’t show pictures of those that have been applied the other way around as they are not mine to share and I don’t want to alienate anyone. Should anyone wish to share, please feel free. I hope that all makes sense. Any comments of suggestions to improve this thread, please let me know. Kind regards, Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  21. Very nice. PANDA PROPS did a nice video using one of those. Handy if you wanted to mod it laster Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Your selection of photos looks good. Maybe send than an action shot when your blaster arrives. Which one did you go for? I’ll get my coat. :-( Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Hiya. The ab buttons are not an issue as such, I think it ‘might’ just be mentioned at L2/L3 as a suggested improvement. Not an issue using decals rather than painted - they look very neat. I think they might be Dave M style decals but, (and you’re not alone) I think they might be on the wrong cheeks. Easily done and 99% of people would never know. As they are decals, that’s an easy fix should you want to make it. :-) Here’s a pic showing what I mean. Notice the first few stripes almost running parallel to the frown. You won’t have to change them for clearance, just depends how far you want to take the accuracy. Your armour looks superb, by the way. So don’t take this as criticism. Just a couple of tiny things that could be tweaked, should you wish to. Best wishes Dan Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Superb job, Jameson. :-) As has already been mentioned, it looks like you are more than ready for basic approval. I’d agree with the suggestions of closing the back gap (if possible) and possibly raising those thighs a little for more flexibility at the knees. If you were looking to progress to EIB and Centurion after your basic clearance, you could consider straightening the edges of your smaller ab plate: And...I wouldn’t be known as the “tube-stripe sheriff” without mentioning them. Are they painted or decals?
