  3. Well done, Eric!! :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Great to hear your approval is in. :-) Don’t worry about it being a commission build. The important thing is enjoying your armour and enjoying some trooping. Best wishes, Dan
  5. Hi again, folks. I’m Dan. Proud member of the 501st UK Garrison. Thoroughly looking forward to May for the London Comic Con event. This’ll be my biggest event to date. Love the FISD, 501st and UKG community due to the many lovely people I’ve encountered so far. Here’s a coupe of my favourite pics of me in my RWA kit. Best wishes, Dan
  6. Hi everyone, There’s been quite a bit of action on the forum of late, some of which has been of a more serious nature (elections etc.). So, with that in mind, I wanted to start a light-hearted thread where we can all say “hi”, share something about ourselves and share some pics if we want, allow new members to see what long standing members are about, and generally just get some good vibes going. With May just around the corner, a busy month in the Star Wars universe, there’s no better time to remember why we all dress up as white plastic spacemen. So, if you want to say “hi” and share a picture of yourself, (perhaps your favourite pic or moment as a TK), feel free to speak up. :-) I’ll start there ball rolling in post #2 Best wishes, Dan
  7. Hehe. I’m about 5ft 11 and can’t do ANY of the things you’ve mentioned above!! ;-) Don’t take anything we’ve mentioned as a negative. As we said, you’re looking AWESOME for basic and will be a great addition to your local Garrison. Once you’ve done that bit, you can then decide if you do any little mods down the line. I’m sure we’ll be seeing a post from you shortly when you announce your TKID as a 501st Imperial Stormtrooper!!! Now, get that clearance request in. [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1] Best wishes. Dan
  8. Just to avoid confusion, I think the belt is fine - a little fraying is no problem. The “shims” that we mentioned are the extra white bits of plastic added to either side of the kidney plate. These should be fine for basic and (I believe) EIB, but would need to look “seamless” for Centurion. Best wishes, Dan
  9. Hehe - don't overthink it Dave, it really does look great! 99% of people wouldn't take a second look at those buttons - I'm just odd like that*... *just ask Greg about me and tube stripes!!! lol
  10. Hi David, What a beautiful set of armour! RS really do make amazing kits, and you’ve done a really good job with it. Personally, I think you’re a shoe-in for a quick clearance. Should you want to take it further after your basic clearance, you could probably make some very minor changes to take it an extra step. You could shorten the shoulder bell straps to bring those bells closer to the shoulder bridges. Your painted ab buttons are possibly a tiny bit small (yes, I’m clutching at straws here as you’ve done such a good job!!). These are easy changes should you wish to make them, and it looks like Expert Infantry is well within reach after you're cleared. If you wanted to go for Centurion down the line, you’d just need to look at making those shims seamless. :-) As I mentioned, great job!! Can’t see any obvious clearance concerns. Bet of luck with clearance. Dan
  11. Great job, Eric. Looking really nice. If you find your leg movement a little restrictive, you could probably pull those thighs up by at least an inch to give a little more room at the knee. Example below: Also, I think you are missing a picture of the inside of your thigh ammo pack fixings. This is likely to be requested during your application. Best wishes, Dan
  12. You are a true gent. Right, off to do some police work. ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Firstly, glad the kids are on the mend. Secondly....that badge is AWESOME!!! Would you mind if I copy it for my collection, please? That’s so funny!! ( and detailed - very British, tube stripe details in the middle - awesomeness!! [emoji1][emoji1][emoji1] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Very clever - good thinking, sir. Hope the children are feeling better. Oh, and watch out for those tube stripes... (now, where did I put my badge?)
  15. Thanks, Daniel. Not quite as impressive as your trooper room. ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Share away, Brian. Worth getting it off your chest. I’m with Daniel on this one - I love watching the OT to remind me why I love my TK so much. Whatever direction the newer films take, they can never take away that feeling we have when we watch the OT, specifically ANH for me. Rant whenever you need. :-) Best wishes, Dan
  17. Hi Johnson, Those pictures are MUCH better. :-) Overall, it looks like a really nice set of armour. As previously suggested, the first thing to amend would be the belt. It should sit just on/just under the ab buttons (it looks like the poppers are already in place for this): The butt and waist area look like they’re probably a little oversized for your frame. You could look to bring in the butt and possibly bring in the waist a little. The thighs could probably go up a little to give some clearance at the knees. With a little tweaking I’m sure you’ll be able to get cleared. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Thanks guys. Really pleased with them. :-)
  19. @TheSwede @themaninthesuitcase The frames are FINALLY up! :-) :-)
  20. Looking like an american football player in that last pic. Such lovely, organic curves and lines. You sure do pick some good armour makers!!
  21. “Look sir! - I need a bigger display room!” I'm not jealous. Honest. No really, I promise I’m not.
  22. Well done matey. :-) If you haven’t already, request to update your FISD status to 501st Stormtrooper: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16-501st-trooper-status-requests-include-link-to-your-501st-profile-in-your-request/?page=226&tab=comments#comment-582759 Once this is updated, you can then start your thread for Expert Infantry Badge. There is a checklist of the pictures required etc. Feel free to PM me if you like. Dan :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Great Job, Mike! Welcome to the ranks, trooper.
  24. I'm guessing this has come to an end now. 107 responses. A very proud moment for an RWA Trooper like myself. Great support for Ross and his gear. :-)
