  2. Nice progress. Just out of interest, are you planning to troop with this or is it a fun project? I only ask because if you’re thinking of trooping it, you may wish to check with your Garrison’s GML to see if they are likely to clear it with the extended mag. As you’re probably aware, screen used blasters had the mag cut down a significant amount. At a glance, it looks like your’s is roughly twice the length of a screen used mag. 9. Hi Jim. Looking at the CRL, it is likely that it would be okay. However, you could do do better for that money, depending on how screen accurate you wanted to be. The SDS is missing the cocking handle, has an odd two-piece front end (near muzzle), two-piece folding stock, counter is further back than screen used etc. Even in that picture from SDS themselves, the magazine is mounted the wrong way round As you’re in the UK, you could either build a more accurate one, such as the Doopydoos, or check out the likes of Sheartech. Best wishes, Dan
  10. Looking great, Andy. Just a couple of tiny things I’d mention. The screws on your TD look like domed head. If you want to go all out, these could be replaced with pan head, slotted screws. (An optional upgrade). If you want to stop the thermal detonator from potentially scratching your armour (back plate) you could put the soft side of Velcro on the back of your detonator clips. (Again, totally optional). Best of luck. :-)
  11. Mike @ Trooperbay does some nice, ANH “hand painted” style trap/tears templates. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Great job, Aaron. Welcome to Centurion.
  13. Well done, Nick. Excellent work. See you on the front lines.
  14. Hi Chris, Coming on nicely. :-) When you say vents, do you mean the vertical lines in the traps and tears? If so, they have to be painted or decals. CRL: “Tears, traps, and tube stripes may be hand painted, decals, or decals that replicate hand painted.” If I’m honest, I don’t think you’d get much ventilation through there anyway. :-) Just a couple of observations. If you’re going for ANH Stunt, you have the option to extend the frown paint a little beyond the un-drilled 5th hole, if you wanted to. Here’s some examples of frown paint from ANH. There are also variations on the vocoder shape. The main difference is in the height of the 2nd and 6th vertical lines. Stunt helmets tend to have slightly higher 2nd and 6th lines, whereas ‘hero’ and ROTJ have lower 2nd and 6th. As I say, just observations and not reflective of clearance - just personal preference. Best wishes, Dan
  15. Hi Drew, I think, officially, your main build would probably be best over here http://forum.501stspecopsdet.net/ to get the best build advice. However, I guess there would be no harm in also posting here, too: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/99-other-501st-costumes/. Best wishes, Dan

  22. Great work, Colin. That’s a really nice looking blaster. Lovely paint and weathering. :-) Glad you like the counter numbers. Best of luck with your EIB, Centurion and your first troop. Best wishes, Dan
  23. Perhaps see if anyone else has any feedback. Might be just me. ;-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Hi Jeff, Ab plate looks a little smaller than the previous pics. Might be the lighting but it still seems to have the curved return edge. Might be worth checking with Tony (@ukswrath) if that or the rounded corners will affect any higher levels of clearance. :-) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
