  1. Congratulations and welcome to the heart of the Empire The armor fits you very well If you would like I have some suggetions that would take it to the next levels, admittedly it`s hard to see every detail but you seem to be a good candidate for EIB and Centurion
  2. I’ll eco Matt - keep it uniform and go wider on the coverstrips
  3. Looking great
  4. I have no idea, my cuts are always nice and straight - I know, extremely helpful right? () Edit: suddenly felt the need to clarify I was only joking
  5. I would drill out the lower rivet and and push the pieces closer together as illustraded below, be careful though not to flatten out the natural curve. And like my fellow Troopers already said - just ask away - Troopers helping Troopers
  6. Oops...guess I needed another one... Sorry for the hijack Jack - Dan provided great advise about the ears
  7. KB should not be added to the list untill they have proven themselves for a longer period of time, there was very poor comunication and questionable business practise for a very long time.
  8. The original armor did not have those ridges on the bicep pieces so if it were me I would do all I could to hide them - either make the bicep smaller to the point I just barely can put my helmet on/off and/or make the covertrip a few mm wider 18-19 and letting the forearms follow and they don`t have to match on the mm: ex biceps are 18mm and the forearms 16mm. Then I would "up" the rest, thighs and shins 21-23mm except back of shins which already have 25mm per screen used armor. Totally up to you though, the way you have it now won`t hinder a Centurion approval - just making a suggestion That should be the glossy side out to match the armor unless AP armor is totally different from others? @ABS80 I would also like to ad that it`s the minor details that make the overall look of the armor awesome - so keep up the good work
  9. Aah, that explains it
  10. It’s me again I just looked at your status and the TK designation has not yet turned up on your profile page on 501st.com so you won’t get TK status here intill it does, usually takes just a couple of days
  11. Well then - Congratulations Trooper Just to be clear, you will need to make the request here in order for your TK status to show. Regarding the gap it’s as you say not mentioned in the CRL (only overlap issue) however the goal is to have them as tight as possible, just like the Troopers in the movie
  12. No it’s not but try to get the back plate as high as you can And, you were approved? If so be sure to request TK status here
  13. There`s no max width even for Centurion, what matters is the overall look and that everything is balanced to the person wearing it, meaning you should match all the cover strips so if you need 25mm for biceps and can use 15 for forearms one should go bigger on the forearms as well The mentioning of 15mm for arms reference to the average size of the strips used on the Movie suits so if shooting for screen accuracy then that`s the way to go and if not it really doesn´t matter as long as it´s proportional I would also suggest to bend the arms in as a relaxed state as possible and that might help
  14. Then my recomendation would be to find a tighter one, not only does it help with allowing the armor to move on your body, it also prevents it from bunching up between parts of the armor
  15. You can still start it up
  16. Here you go - straight from Expert Infantry and Centurion applications
  17. First pic is spot on, maybe position the top of the ear slightly back a bit so the screws gets in line with the traps, I’m on the phone at the moment but can provide a ref pic for you shortly
  18. First I have a question for you - is that your undersuit? Now - welcome to FISD and congratulations on having a great kit For sizing you want the bicep to be able to move up and down on your arm so not to tight but not to loose either...if you have room then beeing able to have a finger between the armor and your body is a good rule of thumb At the moment I don’t recall whom of the original creators of the armor it was that stated that it should look as it had grown onto the body but that’s what I had in mind when building my suits. Be sure to check out as much of this forum as you can - tons if great stuff here
  19. Then why don’t you?
  20. It`s not supposed to be "centered", the original armor is "offset" as pic provided shows. If going for screen-accuracy, the middle button-cover should line up roughly with the top line and not the bottom as one can see from the trooper-pics And...for Centurion the dropboxes has minimal gap between the belt and boxes so if I were you I would shorten the straps some, you can see the boxes on the pics as well as belt position, good luck on approval
  21. I`ve been talking myself out of it all day
  22. RS propmasters offer 20% on all their stuff
  23. Congratulations Centurion
