  1. Don`t worry about it, the goal is to try and cover the raised edges as much as possible. RS suit Don`t use rivets though
  2. That`s up to you but 8mm sounds a bit much, I think most go with 4-6mm and some even smaller on lower bicep, I like to leave some for a "thicker armor"-look...but as I said, it`s up to ones liking On my next kit (in my hands soooon) I will make the bicep edges smaller to try and keep the bicep itself as small as possible, not too fond of the some what bulky look I have on this kit...well...whatya gonna do if you got bulging biceps right?!
  3. I agree with you Geat job putting it together - you`ll be a Stormtrooper in no time
  4. Happy BBB-day
  5. Now why didn't I think if that...get a bundle of a 100, then print 50 of each certificate and make a mosaic-wallpaper for a feature wall
  6. Cover strip ends at the raised edge as in pic to the right (above gap) and if you plan to cut the back of thighs for mobility in my opinion it looks best to do the cut more to a gradual curve along the entire back section rather than a smaller sharp cut, something like the shin (coulden`t find a good pic of a thigh just now) from the RS suit, hope that helps
  7. Yeah that EIB badge look mighty nice and the Centurion one will fit right in
  8. Congrats on BBB-day I´m hoping to have one of my one today As for the ears, the outline you made seem to be fine and there is no "set thickness" so it`s pretty much up to you however the general consensus is that you keep them thinner rather than thicker, here`s a screen-shot for reference - good luck with your build
  9. Sorry to "butt in" but it`s so others can see and get inspiration for their strapping (unless the FOTK EIB is different) - great build and good luck
  10. Regarding the brackets, the nuts have a tendency to come loose and I didn`t want to risk that happening during a troop so I glued mine, should have said that.
  11. It`s not for 501st approval but EIB and Centurion it is. I use brackets and that works great and it`s screen-accurate (love that) however you can`t take the torso apart, for that snaps work great I used a knife and tin-snips but I hear the lexan works like a charm so might be worth the trip Best of luck on your build - here`s to becoming a Stormtrooper
  12. Sounds like a plan - best of luck on your weekend goals
  13. Who haven't seen the YouTube videos awesome work Sir congratulations
  14. Cool solution on the lenses, never seen it before
  15. Looking good Rob There are some broken images from my end too, might want to check that, however hight and weight is optional to include - best of luck
  16. You are correct started out as a Shadowtrooper Well...perhaps there still is a few of us clones out there
  17. This came in the mail today! The Nordic Garrisons first own racing shirt! That`s worth a dance I think so here goesStill gonna get the FISD one of course but this is my first one and for you eagle-eyed troppers out there it`s not a typo (if you don`t see it well...nevermind) I´m also a bit puffy-eyed so time to go to sleep The little beenie also arrived in the package, it has the Garrison logo and although hardly visible in the pic "bad guys doing good" in the back. I´m really happy with both so I should look the part but oh well
  18. Looks great Good luck on approval
  19. If it was then I would be in trouble And...the kidney/ab piece are supposed to "butt up" against each other (see photo) there can be a gap (basic "anything goes" EIB no more than 1/2" and Centurion no gap) but overlap is not allowed so either try to realign and see if that helps or some cutting is needed. It looks like your buttpiece sits where it`s supposed to so I woulden`t lower it...so...in my opinion cutting is the best move and there are some alternatives, now I´m no expert in the matter since I didn`t have to cut my back pieces but it`s about proportion so it might be neccessary to cut a little from each piece...from the your pic it looks like there`s a decent amount that needs to go and I don`t think it will look good just cutting the kidney....check out this thread, if you haven`t already...Cricket is the Queen of resizeing armor and I´m sure she will gladly help if you have questions Keep powering on Alica, you got this!
