TheSwede replied to GodOfLibra's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
Great job but...what`s that in your holster Trooper?! -
here you go I have a Hero-helmet (different frown) so I had to "steal" this pic from another Centurion application Notice the little grey spots on the very end, they are supposed to be there - Beautiful helmet

So far so good - another Centurion in the making

Sorry to hear you`re not feeling entirely happy and...there`s abselutely nothing wrong with "basic" you will still be a Stormtrooper and that`s what matters and..it still is a lot of work and not super-easy either, if it was then everyboby would be Stormtroopers...`cause why woulden`t they Just take your time and you`ll get there there`s nothing on your build that would suggest otherwise
-
It´s all about peronal reference really, except for L3 (Centurion) where there can`t be any on the wrist end of forearms but you already trimed those so good to go If you plan to use the brackets then you don`t want to shave of to much on the torso parts and it`s a good thing to make reinforcement pieces because Anovos plastic is very brittle in those areas...at least they were on my Anovos TX and they broke during fitmentanyways.....I like to keep as much as possible to maintain the illusion of thickness...and it`s always easier to take more if it restricts movment to much or pinch you....for example I took more of inside of thighs and inside "swoop" of forearms than outer after som "walking around". So to conclude it`s really up to you and what you think looks and feels the best, personally I would start bigger, around 6-7mm and go from there, atleast that`s what i did on my builds

Looking good Best of luck with approval I have 3 suggestions: #1 personal preference: if possible try to lower the bicep to minimize the black showing. #2 For Centurion: if you choose to go for it (why wouldn`t you) "drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt" #3 For accuracy: The TD screws are to be black. To summarise: You can take place among the Troopers ready to storm the Tantive lV and only difference would be the lack of duct-tape

Thigh Cover Strip question.
TheSwede replied to The Snake's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
No need to make the back of shins larger than the "standard" 25mm even if back of thighs is let`s say 30mm...if there`s need for bigger than that on thighs it will look better to shim, at least in my opinion, however not that many people that will notice the cover strip sizes on the back so...out of personal preference and to keep the look from the movies this is what I would do. -

TheSwede replied to m3tal_man84's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
As I said earlier, I don`t mean to rush you even if it could seem that way and yeah I hear you, the wait is the worst....curently waiting for my third set (2nd TK) and I´m really itching for it to arrive - no jedi-patience at all anyways...check this thread, he´s also a taller guy, you can get this Kit with longer shins which is great for..well...taller people It´s a really great Kit And from what I hear AP is also a great choice so...whatever makes you happy -

TheSwede replied to m3tal_man84's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Roughly 917 CAD for both armor kit and helmet kit including shipping (probably little cheaper when doing a combined buy ) and no I don`t work for RS Time frame I´m not sure but best guess no more than 2 weeks. But who knows, especially with the holidays round the corner. However I think you should go with whatever Kit/Maker that makes you happy! I´m just making a suggestion -
So funny, at least afterwards, thanks for sharing that initial fear I think this is going to be a fun build to follow and..of to a great start, keep it up

Good to go and as a future reference one should strive to eliminate all "flat surfaces" in the joint when possible

Bubble Lens Problem - please help!
TheSwede replied to gwood1234's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Hey Gareth, nice to see you here Before you throw in the towel you could try lenses from TM. I have them and although I haven`t yet trooped with them for a longer period of time they seem fine as far as bubble lenses go...vision is of course compromised and looking straight with clear vision is impossible for me too..however turning your head slightely every now and then as you walk makes a huge difference, at least for me....I will put them to the test for opening night of TLJ dec 13 with a 3h troop and report back...they might not help but...then again they just might so in my opinion it could be worth a shoot...and...perhaps you already thought of this but when standing still and posing you could close your eyes from time to time and rest them and it might just make it bearable -
Looks like it but could you post a pic "from above" or straight on for that matter?
