  1. As I said earlier, I don`t mean to rush you even if it could seem that way and yeah I hear you, the wait is the worst....curently waiting for my third set (2nd TK) and I´m really itching for it to arrive - no jedi-patience at all anyways...check this thread, he´s also a taller guy, you can get this Kit with longer shins which is great for..well...taller people It´s a really great Kit And from what I hear AP is also a great choice so...whatever makes you happy
  2. Roughly 917 CAD for both armor kit and helmet kit including shipping (probably little cheaper when doing a combined buy ) and no I don`t work for RS Time frame I´m not sure but best guess no more than 2 weeks. But who knows, especially with the holidays round the corner. However I think you should go with whatever Kit/Maker that makes you happy! I´m just making a suggestion
  3. So funny, at least afterwards, thanks for sharing that initial fear I think this is going to be a fun build to follow and..of to a great start, keep it up
  4. Totally get it and don`t mean to rush you but there`s is some great black friday deals going on from RS propmasters, just in case you haven`t seen it Here`s a link http://www.rspropmasters.com/product/armor-only-kit-option/ http://www.rspropmasters.com/product/stunt-helmet-kit/
  5. Yes it was moved to here (ANH build threads) Pulled the trigger on armor yet?
  6. Good to go and as a future reference one should strive to eliminate all "flat surfaces" in the joint when possible
  7. Hey Gareth, nice to see you here Before you throw in the towel you could try lenses from TM. I have them and although I haven`t yet trooped with them for a longer period of time they seem fine as far as bubble lenses go...vision is of course compromised and looking straight with clear vision is impossible for me too..however turning your head slightely every now and then as you walk makes a huge difference, at least for me....I will put them to the test for opening night of TLJ dec 13 with a 3h troop and report back...they might not help but...then again they just might so in my opinion it could be worth a shoot...and...perhaps you already thought of this but when standing still and posing you could close your eyes from time to time and rest them and it might just make it bearable
  8. Looks like it but could you post a pic "from above" or straight on for that matter?
  9. Happy BBB-day! Another TK AND Centurion in the making - be all you can be Trooper -
  10. From what i can see it looks fine....It`s a good thing to be able to put on/remove the helmet on your own so if you can tap yourself on the head then you`re good to go I have my biceps pretty low but that just how I like it, in the movie they were also low, showing minimal black and that`s the look I went for...and still able to handle the helmet on my own.
  11. Well...they did that on the movie-suits when they needed repair so one could say it`s screen-accurate, painted white the screws won`t be all that visible Personally I would fill the holes with abs-paste and use snaps or just glue the elastic to the inside of the armor, if beeing able of taking it apart isn`t important
  12. If you are impatient, like me...well.....than......zap-a-gap the crap out of the plastic not much room for error though
  13. Totally same for me, I have watch short clips on Youtube in order to stay focused Looking at screen captures in the gallery section is also a good choice and "armorbuilding with TK1336" on Youtube is another great source
  14. These guys got you covered I just want to ad that when sizing the shins it's best to have the shoes on and in my opinion, trying to keep the shin tight around the boot...some experience trouble with the shin sliding up over the boot when doing so but I haven't...and there's ways to fix that if needs be this is how thight mine are.
  15. I´m sure you´ll do just fine in making the armour work for you, and based on your pics I would say your cutting skills are just fine to
  16. Good to hear and either way is fine as long as you make sure that the bottom of the thighs aren`t significally bigger than the top of the shins, or vice versa if that make sence? I prefer the "cone-shaped" legs vs the more boxy ones. There´s some twisted sniperknees here but this is how the legs should look like (more or less anyways)
  17. I used a white version on my build and didn`t have an issue but you could tape it on the inside just to be safe And you don`t have to taper it if it restricts your movements, it looks fine as is, from the pic it looked like there was some room for it which would help in giving that sleek "movie-look", however doing so wouldn`t make the top to flare out, just make sure it`s securely taped in the back, at the very top of the thigh keeping it together as you reduce the eventual gap at the knee. AND...You might want to wait in doing any final cutting until you got your shins taped up to see how it looks together---it`s all about the look Which brings me to mobility well...it sucks..plain and simple someone wrote somwhere on this forum that "all the rebels had to do to prevent the stormtroopers to charge their secret base was to ad a step or two" If you want/need to you can cut some out of the back of the tighs/shins like these troopers did (a bit hard to see) Personally I want to minimize the black showing so I didn`t cut any and this is how I walk (sorry if I clutter your build with all of my stuff)
