  1. A little tension is good so how much force does it take to close?
  2. Brien got you covered I have nothing to add - good job and good luck
  3. Whaaaaaat?! ()
  4. Yeah I meant the magnetic closure has a really clean look about it And I was quite surprised as well but didn’t feel I wanted to order new ones so ”gave up” and as you say about them closing with a ”click” I wanted that too, when I saw it on your RS build I was just amazed of how good it looked and how well it worked have no problem with the hook and elastic so happy anyways
  5. Great work as always really wanted to use this method on my TX build but somehow the magnets shattered when installed (bad magnets I suppose) and I swapped to hook and elastic closure and on my TK builds I wanted to use the screen accurate way...but it looks really good, a nice and clean closure
  6. Looks great and now that you can blow stuff up it’s time to start on your protection - the armor ps might just want to loosen the clips up a bit, makes it easier to put on.
  7. Return edge faces front as you say but try and cover all of the edge if possible and I don’t get the 4cm on each side? (Maybe I’m stupid) if your cover strip is let’s say the Canon width of 15 then you cut 7,5mm on each side of the return. Or 8 and use a 16mm coverstrip and so on but try and avoid bigger than 20 on front of arms, unless you have to than that’s fine to
  8. Well...if you feel that is about to happen just put the armor on and give her a ”hey baby...how you doin?” While looking her up and down aka the joey-move
  9. Yeey another Hero - congratulations
  10. Pehaps it shrinks when washing? Try that first, and if it`s still big I would recommend finding another that is tighter on you and it`s hard to say really, as long as it`s black, shows no logos and is tight anything goes. A lot of Troopers recommend a two-piece, I have a one-piece and very happy with that. Any compression suit would work. The undersuit I have I bought on ebay - just search for stormtrooper undersuit
  11. That looks good as far as I can see I have a question though - is that your undersuit/shirt? I´m asking because it looks big and wrinkles and that will prevent the armor from sliding on your body thus making you have less mobility. The undersuit idealy is as skin-thight as possible. If not your undersuit than I recommend sizing the armor with it on
  12. Congratulations Trooper
  13. Some calf raises will fix that Kidding aside it`s looking great Greg And I hate to do this to you but....wrist ends look a bit big...sorry (they didn`t before so it might just be me, still look good though)
  14. Here`s to becoming the finest Trooper of them all - an Imperial Stormtrooper TM is a great choice, good luck on your build oh...and welcome princess
  15. Haha thank you very much Dan - I really appreciate it
  16. My advise is to try and comform the shins as much as possible to your leg (from your pic it looks good) and as tight as possible at the ankle to get that nice tapered look of the original armor and if done right (and depending on body type) you never have a problem with the shin riding over your boot or twisting for that matter. So tape it up like you have and take it through some serious walking and "running", if the shin stays in place your all set That`s beeing a Stormtrooper for ya It looks great
  17. Thanks Greg Thank you Sir Thanks Shane Haha thank you Sean
  18. Centurion #2 is in
  19. Name: Daniel Melin TK ID: 99665 Garrison: Nordic Garrison Forum name: TheSwede Armor maker: TM (troopermaster) Helmet maker: TM (troopermaster) Blaster: E11 Imperial Warfighters Hight: 5'10 Weight: 202lbs Thank you for your consideration /TK 99665
  20. From the looks of it you can trim more, mobility is not great but it`s a good thing to be able to put on/remove the helmet on your own and as for the black showing, most of the time you carry a blaster so with the elbows beeing bent hardly any black is showing. (RS suit for reference). Just to be sure not to trim more than you have to it`s a good thing to have the torso on with the shoulder bell and arms temporary connected (tape on inside works great) and then se how much mobility you have. Things tend to be different when strapt together compaired to just bits and pieces
  21. That`s for the back of shins only (just to be clear) to help hide the gap/seem, in the Movie they used elastic and hooks to close the shins and as they flexed a bigger strip hides it better. So 25 is the way to go on the shins Agreed - for those furtunate TK:s that "fit the standard as per Movie" one just have to do the best with what one got And...I´ll do my best to help out as all of us do, you have got solid advise so far - Troopers helping Troopers
  22. That`s the screen accurate way of doing it and it works great (in my opinion) just make a loop on the elastic, glue to the thigh - done But there are a other options too that also works great, only a matter of preference. I just like to do it as they did for the movie
  23. Thanks for the Kudos Greg And...I´m a bit late to the party so the questions have been answered, however I would like to mention the arm to leg-ratio, I wouldn`t go that big on the leg ,unless you really have to, at the 25-isch mark the cover strips start to look big and it would be better to keep closer to canon size even though the arm is a bit bigger. Other than that I agree with all above
  24. Thank you Sir Thanks Brien Thanks Dan, one can never be to sure
