  1. I thought a thumb was a finger? huh go figure... (sorry Dan, just had to do it )
  2. Nice fix on that oops-moment
  3. Hope to see you out there
  4. Hey Fredrik I saw that you looked at Tonys (ukswrath) Anovos build and Trooperbay and just wanted to recommend another great source and that is "armorbuilding with tk1636" on Youtube (in case you haven`t seen it) and he does an Anovos build - and like others said, just take it a step at a time and you`ll be a Stormtrooper before you know it
  5. Jepp, RS suit for reference
  6. Thanks Randy Thanks again Dan don`t think you get a new certificate but that would be quite nice come to think of it.... EIB and for which costume - ANH Stunt/ANH Hero/ESB etc...hmm, gonna pop a question about that I think
  7. Very kind as always - thank you Dan And yeah but I think I have to calm down a bit...Mrs 99665 is as patient as an angel with me having AND getting all this new stuff and I don`t want to push it but....well....i guess a few more blasters won`t hurt need 2 more E11:s for that gun rack That ROTJ TK will just have to wait.....
  8. Thanks Dan but now you got me worried, they are black, slotted but not your typical pan head...however they were a part of the screen accurate strapping kit I bought with the kit so I just assumed they were...and I had no problem first time around, perhaps that was an oversight, I guess we will see - easy enough to replace though ( I have calmed down now) Thanks for checking up on me
  9. Awesome! Will go nicely with your R1 back pack
  10. Thanks And you are most welcome - Troopers helping Troopers Looking forward seeing your EIB

  12. Wohoo! The force is strong with this one
  13. Do it...give yourself to the dark side of the force...
  14. Looking nice and clean
  15. She used black ABS for that big piece and white for the bracket-thing which the black ABS slides in to and that way the seam can`t shift to overlap nor can it go up/down, makes it super-secure
  16. Glad to be of assistance Good plan I would go with Seans suggestion
  17. I second that! after some clean up it will look muck better than my tube stripes
  18. I´m back Found it and there are a few examples out there, this one I "stole" from Chricket`s thread (thanks Christine) I finally wrapped up the "Jorge-inspired" tab stabilization system on my kidney/ab. Glue was still curing on the bracket, which is why you still see the blue tape in there. The black ABS is flexible enough to curve easily on the ab plate. Here's what it looks like from the outside when closed up with the inner tab fastened on the inside snaps: Best part is that it doesn't shift up and down. So I tried it on to make sure it actually works. Yup. It works great.
  19. Yes that`s a good start, Anovos usually leaves alot of return edge so after you installed the brackets (close to the face of the armor) you`ll see how much more you can take of IF you choose to do so, some leave alot and some cut alot - personal preference. Also, many builds reinforce the areas were the brackets go with plastic tabs (borrowed you pic Dana "QuartZ") Yes and if you cut from the inside it`s much easier, check out tk1636 on Youtube - among other builds he does an Anovos build -great source
  20. Overlap isn`t mentioned in the CRL, it focus on the more common problem - gaps - however the seam is to my knowledge supposed to sit flush even though there is some overlap in the movie....this is a bit embarrassing but I´m actually not sure if overlap will hinder approval (only ever focused on gaps) so someone in the know need to set it straight....but it looks alot better whitout overlap (and you want to look good right) and...I remembered another set-up to avoid this...just gonna go look for it I`ll be back (of course said with an accent).
  21. That`s totally up to you, the interior is not something that`s regulated by the CRL..however...I always prefer the way they did it in the Movie so I have elastics (brackets and glued in) for all the connections but I know that alot of Troopers use webbing and snaps (single/double) and are happy with that. The elastic need to be of a good quality for it to work the best, same goes for snaps. As you already put in the snap bases then brackets might be out (never too late though) but I would say that if you have the option to try both variants (using snaps) then you can see which works best - other than that it`s up to you to decide...and good progress Great feeling isn`t it
  22. Yepp and just to be clear, some use velcro so that the foam can be cleaned/replaced easier, my setup is really high density and dosen`t absorb any moisture, only on the surface and that`s easy to just wipe down after a troop Finally I could give a piece of advise that didn`t involve sending you to the shops If you can that would be better, looks like you can push the plate closer to your body? If so that alone would raise it a bit. Some reference pics to give you an idea My Centrurion app
