  1. Excellent work! and although some extra work but I´m certain you will be very happy that you did that in the end - keep that up and you will be one awesome "screen-accurate" looking Stormtrooper
  2. Welcome back and nice "replacement helmet"
  3. Must be some mistake or every TK in the Legion is in trouble...interesting to hear the clarification when it comes.
  4. Looking at the templets I would say Dan is in the right, photos in different angles and on a curved surface at that have a way of fooling your eyes - and....a bit contradictory to what I just said about "fooling eyes" but I would say that the pic Dan provided last is spot on - good call Dan and lastly, yes the templets I referd is less "bendy"
  5. Well...if I my Eyes deceive me it`s easy enough to fix just the last one
  6. http://whitearmor.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=14806&view=findpost&p=179529 Link to how he painted his helmet, can`t imagine he got it wrong (could be though) anyways, from the look of it your tube stripes are similar the angle of the photo can make the difference seem bigger than it really is. I made my 3 helmets using his guide and so far so good.
  7. If you imagine this on the helmet then it`s just how yours are.
  8. No - you got it right (or else I got it wrong to..naaa, can`t be it)
  9. I think it`s just the angle of the photo (and the chiped end of ref pic) the bottom end of last stripe should "lean" a bit forward so to speak,t looks alot in the pic but as I said I´m almost certain it`s the angle. Most impotant though is that the curve extends backwards.
  10. That would work (RS suit)
  11. Welcome to Centurion Sean Oh...wait.....not approved yet....ahhh you got this: welcome to Centurion
  12. woop woop
  13. If you want to you could cut the ends shorter (closer to the cover buttons) with a steady score and snap making the corners aligne more. Hard to tell on the pic just how much more, might not be worth the effort/risk to cut to much. That`s how to do it
  14. It´s prefered to use Canon size cover strips, 15mm arms (front/back), 20mm thighs (front/back) and shins 20 front/25 back. That is not always possible and then the size needed to make the armor fit is the right size and then it`s prefered to use a smaller size close to Canon in the front and go bigger in the back. When sizing up your armor start on the front and see if Canon size is right for you and the cover strip idealy hides the raised edge (all of the flat surface) but not going over it. So..if you can use a 15mm cover strip then you cut 7.5 mm from each edge. To conclude - If you follow trooperbay you`re in good hands
  15. Great work on the belt and holster, it`s coming together nicely Perhaps you already thought of this, the bridges could use some elastic to stay in place as shown below. The overall look of your armor is great, however your biceps and forearms (wrist ends) looks a bit big, do you have a lot of room? The goal is to just be able to get your hand through the wrist and you can see how "thin" the biceps are on the Troopers above and that`s the look to strive for - but that`s ultimately up to the builder - looks/comfort/mobility etc and you may already know this but thought it was worth to mention - keep up the good work
  16. Still, no one will ever notice - looking forward seeing you suited up
  17. Looks great
  18. How to make snap-plates (standard) However I wouldn’t bother with the lines, just use the knife with the ruler aaand you usually don’t use a rivet, just the snap (male/female)
  19. Perhaps to much glue was used, it does get hot and more glue - more heat in combination with what others already said with snap-plates straining the armor for a longer period of time..never used E6000 though, used snap-plates on my TX build with zap-a-gap and that stuff gets really hot but nothing happend with the armor (Anovos). That stuff cures in seconds. Now I only use the ”movie-way” hence no snap-plates. So...try using less glue and see what happens
  20. Not familiar with it but there’s always ebay - might get lucky
  21. Welcome to FISD Mike - great to have you aboard As for boots you could always look up imperialboots.com, currently closed (back in march) they are also on FB.
  22. Looking good, might be some material left on the left just under the cover strip (looking at the pic) but it can just be the angel of the photo and...welcome back
