From what I've read with the other TK helmets, it helps to block out light that comes through the white. Sometimes it's also used as reinforcing if the helmet feels flimsy. Not sure with the FOTK if it is needed in either of these cases though.
How have you found the locktite and e6000 to be adhering to the fibreglass? I'm hoping to start a fibreglass build soon, but wasn't sure how the glue would hold up. I've heard of others using Cyanoacrylate Adhesives, but I'd rather use something a little more forgiving if possible. Your snaps are adhering well to the fibreglass so far?
It looks like you did a really good job.
Any chance of seeing the torso on without the shoulders or chest plate. I'd like to see how it hangs.
And it looks like a velcro strip on the forearms - are the shins the same?
One last thing - did the lens come with the helmet or did you order that separately?
When you connected your strapping. Did you use the button (Maybe I should call them snaps?) method? It looked like it on your front armor. Did you glue one piece to your armor and what did you use.
Any issues with the gorilla gloves having too short of an area covering the wrist? I was wondering about them coming untucked from the wrists of the armour.
So potentially could I power the two units from a recchargable USB power source? One power source and a splitter? I just received my hasbro blaster in the mail today and I already have my Doopy Doos mod kit. I had been watching Hyperdyne for electronics mods but they have been sold out. Then ta-da you deliver this option. I'm going to open the blaster up tonight and see what room I have to work with.
This looks really awesome. Both the sounds/counter and the scope. I see you had a sample wired to accept a usb power source. Does it come that way or was that just for demonstration?
You sure made this build look easy. I hope when mine shows up I can do as nice a job as this.
They tried to get me to use Trello for work but I didn't follow up. But for this, you know, something important, I just might have to give it a try.
My ANOVOS kit is on order (3rd Quarter?) Hopefully I can get most of the other pieces in place by the time it arrives. I will check out the Anovos Facebook page, but it's pretty clear the best info and help threads will be here.
Just about to order armor and have been going over all of the extras and I saw this while looking for undersuit options.

I like the look of ANOVOS rubber gasket but can understand it being uncomfortable. This one is Leather (Pleather?) so it might have a similar look, but the comfort of fabric.
Any info - suggestions appreciated.
