  1. It's hard to tell if it's in the pick below - could just be shadows or wrinkles. And I don't see it below. Maybe it was a "Pre-Movie" thing just for some promotional shots? Anyways, just thought I'd share.
  2. Yes, that was what I had read.
  3. There was talk somewhere. I think the exact wording is the concern. I guess weathering can be pretty literal and the text has to be able to limit what is acceptable. I do like the little bit of "weathering" on the Rogue One TK. It almost looked like they had walked through soot and then gotten rained on. It was just a little streaky charcoalish smudging that helped highlight some of the armours details.
  4. That answers it. As I was fitting everything together it sort of seemed to be "locking together" so I was worries that I was missing something With the belt over the joints for the butt and cod, it looks good but seemed to negate the possibility to have flexibility there.
  5. Hopefully things will turn around, with your dreams of a helmet or armour, but especially with your health.
  6. My elastic is almost a perfect fit. I have to close it behind me. I like your way better. did you trim any of the side pieces that attach the chest and back plates.
  7. The control doesn't really lean towards the gloves being tactical gloves, but i really picked up a pair of these: It's too bad they have the extra vents on the upper fingers, because the ribbed material is almost a perfect match. Has anyone bought the anthology gloves from Imperial Boots?
  8. So I cut out the magnets on the ab/kidney so they'd sit pretty flush, but when the back plate is attached when I'm wearing the kidney surround, the magnets are too curved to meet strongly enough. I removed the magnets from the back plate and am going to try to add a wedge and thinner magnets to the back plate and see how that goes. Also I finally tried out my "Tube Stripe" back fill. I made small inserts from thin styrene that I built up a bit and shaped as best as I could. Then I'm going to magnet them in so they're easy to remove for painting etc. This is just the test fit so far, but I think they're pretty close.
  9. Just attaching the boxes to the belt. The two "angled" boxes are pretty straight forward as they line up with buttons on the ab and a notched are on the belt. Same with the two thinner, inner boxes, they seem to be evenly space between the two notched boxes. But the outer "square" boxes. Are they lined up with anything in particular or are they just continuing the spacing? Also, the drop boxes that hang from these square boxes, it almost looks as if the black strapping is as wide as the drop boxes in some cases. Any thoughts?
  10. Has anyone cut down the "side wraps"? I don't know what else to call them. The black painted pieces that connect the chest to back. They seem to be curved properly to sit well as is, but I really only have about 4-5" showing so it seems like a lot of extra material to have to make sure it's all tucked in nicey nicey. I'd I'm also thinking about trimming the belt back a bit. Has anyone cut it back?
  11. Awesome thanks. Would you estimate the bottom of your back plate lines up with the bottom of the ab/kidney surround? Do you need velcro on the back plate itself, or does it sit there fine with velcro at the sides?
  12. I’d just like to see how it sits over the ab/kidney and back plate.
  13. How did you attach your belt? I'm looking at some velcro at the very front and magnets at the sides, but I'm not sure about the very back as it goes over the back plate, it can't be too snug and I'm not sure what it should attach to. Do you have any pictures of your armor from behind?
  14. How rigid is your ab section where it attaches to the cod and the butt. Were you able to keep some flexibility once the belt went over top? I’m worried about things getting to tight and locking together.
  15. Here is what I am looking at doing. Maybe a better view with the elastic pushed to the outside. This is how it looks like the back plate will sit. I found thicker magnets that I will use inside the back plate and then ad small disks to the ab/kidney surround.
  16. I was thinking magnets too. Now that I’ve closed it, it seems to sit a little better. As for closing at first I had Velcro, but I switched it to velcro(small pieces) with elastic in between. I’ll post a pick tomorrow. I only have the small magnets right now so I’m going to get some thicker ones to sit in the indent of that back plate a little better and mount the smaller magnets to the ab/kidney plate. Do you know of it matters where it sits? It should be covered by the back plate and belt once fully dressed.
  17. I haven't made as much progress as I would have liked but I'm slowly pushing through. I'm ready to attach the back plate to the abdominal section, but I'm not sure how it's supposed to sit. The plate has a curve that doesn't really sit flush. Have others shaved it down a bit?
  18. I'm okay with "hell." "Yippee", not so much.
  19. I was thinking about that. I may use a weaker velcro so it's easier to separate.
  20. That’s probably my biggest beef, the Snoke thing and Rey’s parents. To dangle these two plot points for almost three years and then turn them into nothing is really weak. IMHO. Maybe more will be explained, the stage was set for a great part three. I just hope it doesn’t start at some jungle rebel base where all these mysterious supporters gather together for a final show down with new ships.
  21. How did you attach the sides to the chest plate and back plate? Is one permanent?
  22. Facebook seems to be the best way to reach him. Let me know and I can give him a heads up that you’re interested.
