  1. I've seen a tutorial to remove the graphics off compression gear. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. Your ab and kidney should line up at the top ridge. It's possible you will need to trim the kidney. Don't trim the ab. Make sure that your trim line is vertical...I would say take off a bit at a time. Regarding your butt plate, you could just wear your back plate a bit lower and potentially move your chest/ab up a bit (not sure if you can do that at all. You will just have a longer strap from the chest to back that sits on your shoulder. Also, you'll need to remove that graphic from your tights at the back near the neck. Another word of warning regarding women's compression gear - the neck can be a bit bigger, so make sure your neckseal's bib is big enough or find a way to secure it to the shirt. You're making good progress!
  3. You should bring the shoulder bells in some more. You want the tops of them as close to your shoulder straps as possible. I would suggest bringing that chest plate down...we can see the top of your ab plate. Chest plate should always overlap your ab unless your hands are straight up in the air.
  4. Actually, if you don't mind documenting your bracket build, I will use that to build one as well! I have some velcro in my helmet that's not quite doing teh job right now and have been lazy hahah. They're pretty loose in there.
  5. The foam is enough for me but I have heard of many folks using the velcro as mentioned previously. Can't wait for you to get that TKID!
  6. Yeah, definitely noticed the square/rectangular button replaced on the big ab button plate.
  7. You can definitely use an amp without the iComm...that's what I've been doing. Before, I was kind of just shouting hahah. Yes, fans will be a lifesaver for outdoor troops, especially given the heat I assume you experience in Texas!
  8. Late to the celebration, but congrats! One quick thing I'd suggest is just getting those shoulder straps to curve a little more. Other than that, looking good!
  9. Word of advice, check to see if the thigh pushes on the sniper knee when you straighten your leg. That would put stress on the plate and crack it, as it did for me. I glued in some ABS to reinforce the cracked area and will eventually fill it with ABS paste. Also, I keep checking in to your thread expecting to see your approval photos or something like that! You're so close!
  10. Yeah I think I will eventually get a Pencap belt too. I just have a nylon belt and it pulls down a bit uncomfortably since I have to wear it so tight. However, that costs money that I don't currently have.
  11. Yes, you can remove the return from the top of the thighs. I actually didn't remove any for my inner thigh area and did a 5k walk and ended up bruised there, so I will probably remove it before doing any long walks like that again!
  12. Oh yeah, I just checked his thread and he's changed it up. Ah well! Good luck finding the right setter!
  13. I don't think they're required, but they help with the strength and integrity. I feel like gluing on one side only would be substantially more fragile, but that's my opinion. It made it easier for some of the pieces that needs some pushing to stay in position for the glue to set Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. From Joseph? Maybe he changed what he's sending out. That's who I got mine from. Foam is useful for prevent knee lock and such as well. I'm short enough that it's an issue so I used some in every leg price except my right shin! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Looking good. You might need some foam in the shin to help them from drifting. I didn't have a tool for the rivets for the ammo pack. Split rivet, right? I just used a flat head screw driver and placed it in there to start the bend, banged on them directly to continue the bend, and then used a socket (I think that's the right term) to finish the bending. (it's the shape of a cylinder and is hollow, so I just found one that was the right size).
  16. For your shoulder bells, perhaps moving where they attach to your shoulder straps will help. I would move them a bit closer to your front. Gap seems to be smaller in the back. You could even that out. Another suggestion: not sure if you have foam in your thighs to prevent your sniper plate from locking, but I found that quite helpful. Push the thigh back and the shin forward. Lastly, for dressing, the way I dress is: Microphone, balaclava, neckseal Garter belt and thighs Boots on Shins Torso w/ belt Arms Helmet Gloves Hope that's helpful for you!
  17. Your thigh pieces should sit as high and possible. Hold off on trimming them before you can wear your torso. That'll really show you how everything fits together. Return edge can be removed and still be approved Centurion. A lot of people trim out the bick of teh knee area to improve mobility. Check some Centurion threads for examples. You can hold off on gluing the front cover strips before trimming. I actually assembled my legs last!
  18. As an exhibitor, we are offered a reduced rate for some events. I know that we asked that everyone works a minimum amount of time in the booth. I'm not sure how it's been managed with out-of-towners. I didn't attend OCC this year and I am still new!
  19. Oh and I would mention that some remove the return in the elbow well. Depends on the size of your arms and it's for comfort. I also removed some of the return at the top of one of my thighs to make them a bit more even/symmetrical and for comfort.
  20. FanExpo in Ottawa? If I recall, FanExpo is only in Toronto. We had a Pop Expo in Ottawa last year in November, but I'm not sure about plans for this year. If you're coming up to Ottawa for a con after you're approved, definitely give us a shout at the CCG!
  21. You should be okay, just needs some sanding to even things out. Try to remove as little of what you have near the arm in that second photo. Getting a bit close.
  22. Removing the return edge from the shins should solve your issue. They'll just sit right on there.
  23. Ah, I didn't have a blaster upon completing my build and I still need to add the D-ring to it. Also with the change to the Centurion requirements, I now need to trim my butt plate to line up with my kidney notch.
  24. I fit everything except the helmet in a small bin. I always pull the bicep up into the shoulder bell, then the forearm into the shin, then the shin into the thigh. Condenses the limbs nicely Congrats on Centurion btw!
