  1. Congrats on achieving Centurion!
  2. Yes I'd say just be sure that there is some white showing.
  3. Wow, super fast review! Felicitations, David!
  4. Looks like you will need a different small button plate as what you ordered only has three buttons instead of four. You will also need to get something to act as buttons for the big plate as there are only indents.
  5. ...I have actually mentioned this to my wife when we've talked about the next car we buy - especially since we are now both 501st members!
  6. Really depends on how you plan on strapping your armour. Obviously the downside of using webbing and rivets with washers here would be permanently joining the two pieces together. I have to use a smaller bin because I can't fit a 50 gallon bin in my car, so being able to separate the front and the back of the armour is beneficial in packing my costume more tightly.
  7. Malheureusement, les bottes d'extra de notre Legacy TK sont des 7.5. Bonne chance dans ta recherche!
  8. Melanie, let us know what size you're looking for! Not sure if we'll be able to help you in the CCG, but we'll do what we can!
  9. I switched to a wireless mic setup so I just keep the mic in the bucket now. Easier for me! I have enough cables running up into my bucket for fans and headphones as is (electronics won't fit in there because my head is enormous). A balaclava is definitely helpful! I had longer hair for the first while of trooping, but it wasn't that long...I would just tie in a low pony tail and it would just go down my neck and the neck seal kept it tucked in there. You'll have to try different things to see what works for you!
  10. Wow, great job cataloguing all that info! I'm sure it will be helpful for future builders! Everyone I know uses nylon strapping from the garter belt to the thighs, as it will prevent them from going too low - you'll want to keep them hiked up.
  11. Assumign you will be using the mic that comes with the Aker, my experience is that most people put it on, then put on the balaclava, and then just put the bucket on. If you want to mount it into your bucket, some velcro should do the trick!
  12. Bravo et felicitations! Have fun at the premiere! Nice to see you got it all done so quickly. Hard work pays off!
  13. Congrats! Great to hear! If you are looking to make some small improvements, here a few suggestions: I think your drop boxes look a bit thick...they should be around 15mm deep. Don't forget your balaclava when dressing! Looks like your cover strips on the backs of the thighs are going down onto the ridge; they should stop at the ridge. Could be the same in the front, but those are not visible. Lastly, consider adding the 1/8" elastic to the backs of the shoulder bridges that are listed as a Centurion requirement; they will the bridges nice and close to the back plate. Some small suggestions but obviously they did not affect your approval!
  14. In my experience, you have to stir the humbrol paints for quite a while for the pigment to disperse evenly into the rest of the paint. I recall something about the RS shins being two lefts? @TheSwede should know. Will need to size appropriately after that.
  15. The AP forearms are already on the smaller end...my guess is you are probably fine to not size them down, but you'll know best how they fit and how necessary it is.The cod cut from the ab may look weird, but don't forget the belt will cover this area which will make it less obvious that you did that!
  16. When I first read this sentence, it sounded like you had twins and built a patio set all in a week! Before or after giving birth, that would be impressive! (Most impressive)
  17. When cutting out the backs of shins and thighs, just be sure not to cut out past the ridges. For teh cod/butt, here are some reference photos:
  18. Ah, your photos won't display for me! Not sure if that's on your end or on mine...I wanna see!
  19. Ah, I figured it was just the lighting giving that hue!
  20. Good luck on your first troop! I'm sure someone would be happy to snap a pic for you! Nice memory to have!
