1. Oi, oi, he never signed mine!!

Looking good
2. Go shopping... especially for lunch (Non 501st event recently) ... or get your eyes tested... not that it'll make us shoot any better...
3. Cool. The UKG tends to follow a basic approval standard of something approximating level 2 on the CRL, so you may have a bit of work to do, unfortunately.
But as I said, don't get disheartened, just do one mod at a time and I'm sure you'll do OK.
4. Yeh you still need to do a WIP. Even though you've finished, there may be tweaks and changes needing done to achieve basic 501st approval. Don't get disheartened, though. I can see a few things they'll pick up on. Just had a look on UKG site... you'll need to have the photos appearing in the thread itself, rather than a list of links
5. Hi mate, you need to start a 'work in progress' or WIP, over on the UKG site. That's where you'll apply for basic approval
6. Another unofficial troop, raising money for CHAS again... Absolutely heaving shopping centre but we had loads of characters to go round. Photo credits: Mark Harwood.
7. No probs. Other opinions are available I always check with someone when the lid is on, to make sure voice is clear and volume is good
8. Yep, gives that kind of radio sound. It just doesn't do the clicks or static bursts on its own but you can add that separately with app or rom fx, etc.
9. TKVoice is the app. I have the Aker MR1505 12w. Apparently the MR1506 10w is slimmer and easier to stow under the chest, although I find there's plenty of room for mine. Volume is only ever at about 1/3 anyway. Any more and it's way too loud or you get feedback issues. I just marked the 'sweet spot' on the volume dial with some white paint.
10. I only use an Aker voice amp behind chest piece and mic in helmet. You can add a smartphone and a TK voice app if you want, to keep costs down.
11. Does AP do extended shin pieces? These can add at least 2" to the length of the shins. Ideal for taller troopers
12. Proof of the pudding is in the eating, or so they say You've made a decision, based on what you have heard, what you've researched, etc and I wish you well with it. I'd love to see some really good, clear photos of the raw kit and kitted-up. Keep us updated on your progress
13. Yup, what he said. There's already at least one thread on the subject of the supplier mentioned in post #1
14. Could you PM me the ebay seller's details, please?
15. I don't envy you Where do you buy your E6000 from? I've heard there are fakes around?
16. Oops, yep, in spam folder (!) Sorry about that

Thanks for those. Looks like E6000 it is, then. What a waste of time putting all those plates on
17. No I didn't mate - I'll check spam folder
18. Did you use E6000 for the snap plates? I used CA glue AND Stelmax 1985 but they all just peeled right off
19. Cool, thanks (Around Time Square, probably). I reckon i'll try contacting the hotel closer to the time and see if they can receive and hold the package for me. Failing that, I might contact you
20. Thanks Joseph - That was my next port of call. I dare say TK boots aren't stocked in most stores
21. So the missus has decided that we're going for a trip to New York in November. I was going to order some TK boots and get them sent here but by the time shipping and customs have been added, I'm looking at £130+...! Just wondering how readily available they are in New York city?
22. Extreme Racing one piece is what I use. It's easy enough to sew elastics in, for foot and thumb loops. Can't see much added value for the extra cost tbh?
23. Only thing I found to stick velcro to foam, was Stelmax 1985.
