Richard, nice progress, AM 2.0 kit starting to look like a trooper
-
Authenticprops (AP) WARNING - Please measure your chest before purchase of this armor. I was told by Mark multiple times that his armor will fit a 49+ inch chest /w no gaps.. This was completely false and not accurate (Have the email conversations still) This armor will not fit a 46+ inch chest, your best options are AM2.0 and RT-Mod..

Eric I knew I missed a few things.. Thanks for correcting me.

Getting there brother.. Looking good.

Sean, I was looking into this a while ago, was doing the conversion my self. Ended up shooting for centurion so had to replace the armor. Should have kept it since i went to the sandbox anyways. It will need the following: 1. Cover strips added and but joints (doable just time consuming) 2. Canvas Belt. (abs belt may need to be replaced) 3. Ab button colour changes or replacement. 4. New Helmet (You knew that) 5. Chest plate mods (there is a great thread on this) 6. Updated snap strapping 7. Possible forearm armor mods (Return edges) 8. Possible thigh armor mods. (dont remember the details) That was the list as far as i knew, another more veteran member may add more to this list.. Hope it helps, Chris TD-42115

Yes AM 2.0 will be fine, I will be replacing my AP chest and Back with AM 2.0. AP is just too small for a 49 inch chest.. if i was 5 inches smaller no problem...

Great choice, welcome.

John, I second what Tony above said, good choice on the AM 2.0, its one of the better armor for us bigger troopers. Chris

Puzzling pauldron problems, people
TD42115 replied to Bantha Fodder's topic in Heavy Weapons Trooper
Trooper1 paudrons are a work of art, over at the MEPD 95% of us have one or 3 lol. here is the link to his thread. ---------------- -
According to the CRL (LINK) you can use any of the 3 pauldrons (Black, White or Orange) for a basic or EIB level approval. Centurion level approval you must only have orange only.. Pauldron For 501st approval: A black, orange, or white neck ornament made of leather or a leather-like material, worn over the right shoulder. For level two certification (if applicable): Pauldron is of the padded "puffy" variety. Older style flat and off color pauldrons are incorrect. For level three certification (if applicable): Pauldron color is orange. Hope this helps TD 42115

Thermal Detonator Caps don't fit over my PVC, any advice?
TD42115 replied to TKChance's topic in Assembly, Mods, and Painting
I did my detonator just like Locitus above before converting to TD. My pack mortar tube was done the same, so much easier -
I just ran into this same issue, I have been good with my older boots all the way up to MEPD deployment. Now that im going into swat territory my boots needed to be replaced. Thankfully i had a brand new set of TKs that i ordered with the plan of going TK originally. So i weathered them a few days ago and are now ready to go. Did a test fit last night and they are much wider then the older boots i was using. I have done a bit of heat treating on the backs and sides of the calve armor with heat gun, they are not perfect but should hold with trooping. Im running AP armor..
