  1. Hi there everyone! So I've had my TK for almost two years now, and about six months ago or so, I decided to give up on ArmorWhite since it began to yellow pretty badly between every troop. Therefore, I did the unspeakable and I spray painted my kit to be nice, Death Star ANH white again. However, even with using a gloss 2X spray paint from Rustoleum (with respective primer), I have found that my kit is much more "matte" than other troopers with the base plastic. I know that the kit will probably never look quite as shiny as it was in its original state, but I was wondering if anyone had any advice on what to use to make it shine again! Thanks everyone! P.S. Is it a dumb idea to do a clear coat over everything once it's shiny again in order to protect the new paint job? I've heard concerns that it could potentially bubble and I'd like to avoid that as much as possible. Thanks!

  3. Hey everyone, so I'm just about finished with my kit and was going to assemble my TD when I noticed the caps don't fit over the PVC pipe I'm using. The PVC is 2" in diameter on the inside of the tube while the total diameter is about 2.8". Anything smaller than 2" that I could find at Home Depot is 1.75" and that's far too small for the caps. So I don't know whether the problem is the PVC or the caps that came with my kit. Any advice? (Also an ATA kit if that makes any difference in the sizes.)
  4. Hey everyone, I was wondering if anyone has purchased the Trooperbay "TFX-L2A3-Blaster Rifle" and if it would be acceptable for 501st approval. I was originally planning on using the doopydoos conversion on the Disney blaster, but thought this might be an easy alternative. I know it costs quite a pretty penny so I'm debating whether or not it's really worth it. Thanks. Here's the link if anyone wanted it: https://trooperbay.com/tfx-l2a3-blaster-rifle.html
