  1. Regarding Calf hooks or Velcro, I used Velcro on the outside cover strip like Dannys build. Also to keep them from moving around on me i used Velcro on the top front of my boots and the inside front of the calve armor.. Walked around the house for 20 min didn't budge, so I went for a run for 10 min with them like that didn't move at all... Neighbors were a little confused lol...
  2. I unfortunately ran into almost the same issues as you, my bridges were also not long enough. I was looking into building custom bridges and replacing the chest and back with RT-mod as i believe they are bigger in size.. I ended up going sandy instead. I hope you can get this resolved i know that feeling all too well..
  3. Exactly, dont worry about it i also removed mine for comfort
  4. According to this the HWT do need the abs bridge straps.. i was going to do this my self but they require the straps.. http://databank.501st.com/databank/Costuming:TK_hwt
  5. Dont think its swat(MEPD) capable but for basic it looks like it will be ok i think... Trooper1 pauldron is the one to have, his will replace my trooperbay one when im ready for Swat...
  6. Don't worry, there are alot of locals that are always willing to help and give pointers.. There are also alot of new AP builders in our area, me included. Trust me your build will go smoother than ours :-)
  7. I had a similar issue with my AP kit my chest size was not helping, with the bridges at where they are supposed to be for centurion i needed another 4 inches to close the gap from the back piece and the kidney piece. I had completed the chest and the ab spacing first. I was going to build custom bridges but decided not to as i wasn't sure about centurion approval because the bridges would have been 4-6 inches longer than the standard 10.. Adding a piece of plastic in between was also an option.. Hope you solve your issue.
  8. I 2nd the putty knife to get in there just to break the pieces apart. Then pull slowly
  9. That's crazy.. I'm also slightly flat footed as well. I did hear Imperials so run more narrow than TKS as well..
  10. Dude my tks were the sa.e I wore them around house for a week they softened right up also wore a very thin sock too.. Unfortunately I don't need them for my TD as I have others (non centurion) so they are tucked away untill its TK time again.
  11. Im still working on weathering on the TD conversion. if it wasn't for the straps not fitting i would be done like 2 weeks ago. Good progress dude :-)
  12. I was actually contemplating modifying the holster and make sure blaster fits by trimming the front edge a bit.. Just an idea...
  13. Finally read the entire thread Danny A+ man, its an awesome AP build for sure...
