  1. Here's the link to the group. Think it's private though so you will need to join to see anything. https://www.facebook.com/groups/838545079553903/
  2. From the Facebook group too. Though there was a disclaimer about it not being the final design.
  3. It occurs to me now we've all had a pop at them for using power tools that Norm and Frank from tested are reading this thread. Oops. *waves*
  4. The score and snap the trooperbay videos use looks like far less hassle than cutting then grinding. Far less messy too. I've been using it on my blaster parts.
  5. The price increases were planned from day 1 and were designed to fund the prototyping and material purchases etc. it's not that they've added to the price more they have reduced the discount as time has passed.
  6. If anyone happens to know of any video from the panel I'd love to watch it.

  8. I am sure one of the emails said exactly all the above. These are prototypes from prototype bucks and the finals bucks will be cnc machined.
  9. for those of us who aren't as experienced what's the issue(s) that image shows?
  10. I do have an order in but I also have had a quote on a local armour. The Anovos is a lot cheaper even after shipping and customs to the UK, then I'd also need the soft parts this kit includes. However they are showing at sdcc so if I don't like it I'll pull the order and save for the local kit. I'm clearly not the only one thinking this way. Whilst I don't think a mass FISD order pull would kill the company it certainly wouldn't be good and so they must be pretty confident if they are going to show it.
  11. The hand guards are vac formed in the images they sent out. But not seen any gloves up close, best I can see is the header in the email which *might* be rubber.
  12. I'm also hoping someone records the panel, I asked them direct and it basically said someone might be we won't be.
  13. I've started a scratch build but a lot are using doopydoos resin kits if the blaster forums are nothing to go by.
  14. I ordered my armour last night using the code that welshchris77 was kind enough to let me use. As a token of appreciation I also have a 10% code available if someone wants $45 off their armour and haven't yet ordered. Code expires just after the deadline so act fast. PM me if you're interested. Codes now gone to Kredal this morning.
  15. I'm ordering this evening if you're sure you won't use it for a spare bucket or cap etc.
  16. I've just heard back from Anovos and the butt and kidney plate are separate.

  18. That would be my hope as it does a appear to be some what idealised but they do make a point of pointing out the asymmetrical look so who knows.

  20. A fair point, but ignoring the specifics, would a warped back ROTJ bucket be an issue on an ANH build? I suppose you could warm and unwarp it to an extent.
  21. I've just spent a a bit comparing the images on their site of the prototype. I've been comparing them to images in centurion builds and I do think the mould accuracy is good, one thumb print is a detail many kits miss. My first concern is the rear of the helmet looks more like a ROTJ helmet than a ANH that most have, and it also looks like stickers rather than hand painted, though that makes sense and is easy to change. The 2nd is isn't not clear if the butt and kidney plates are 1 piece or two. Would the shape of the rear of the helmet force an ROTJ build or would a ANH be okay? The rest of the build is clearly ANH so I would expect they've gone this route with the butt/kidney too. I gather the helmet was based on a archive one so that may well have been a later one. I think ultimately I've sold myself on this kit now, I have been investigating other vendors but I *think* I"m about to order one of these.
  22. Really great build. Lot of inspiration for my build in there too. If mine comes out half as good I'll be happy!
  23. I would expect the inside of a scope to be flat black, like a camera lens. The idea would be to minimise internal reflections which would cause glare and loss of contrast.
  24. Don't get too excited yet! I got a super basic test of an audio engine library running but all that means is an app opens and played a tone. I'm going to start properly by following Apples training documents first then move back to the audio side later.
