  1. A fun combination of Introvert, children's schedules and not being able to take any time off work due to having over 2 weeks off very soon.
  2. How have I not added up that @Rob .T . is that Rob before. Looking forward to watching this.
  3. Congratulations Ben, welcome to the UKG and FISD!
  4. Welcome to the FISD!
  5. I'm not sure if this was ever sent to LMO for approval so will get this over to them. As a warning there's a long line at the moment whilst they sort out the new CRL system.
  6. I have a handguard which was cast from a screen used one if you need some reference?
  7. Have a look at the 2D cell size, the traditional one not a modern LED one. Mine is red but the scale looks right: The black areas line up with the button and the 3 knurled areas, the lens, grip and battery cap.
  8. That looks a lot like a 2 cell maglite.
  9. Production Made SE-44C for TFA: Had these a while and meant to post them. Think they came from : https://www.instagram.com/steve.madethis/

  10. Depending on what's done you might be able to save it yet. As mentioned post up some photos and we can have a look. DN did do spares in the past but they don't seem to have the torso listed at the moment. Worst case there are other suppliers you can use.
  11. Just had a scan through the thread and I can't see a CRL having been proposed. So I guess a good place to start will be the current TFA, if we just flesh out the differences it will save on some head aches trying to keep the 2 aligned whilst we write it. I think that would amount to a few extra lines on the helmet, and a pauldron section.
  12. Evening Justin, I'll need to remind my self how far this did or did not get. Might be in an LMO holding pattern, might be before that holding pattern.
  13. All profiles have been updated with the supporter banner. We thank all of you for your contributions.
  14. Welcome to the FISD from far flung Hemel Once you have 501st access make sure you check out the higher clearance programs : https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/95-expert-infantry-program/
  15. Just looked at the photos I took at CE2016 and the hip is indeed plain. Which complicated things a little as the answer is "both" unless we break it down to R1, Kenobi, etc which seems like a silly spit and just makes things more complicated than needed. This should be familiar to any of you in the IOC.
  16. Looks like an amazing start. You've probably already seen these but these are the full res reference photos I took at CE2016 and you can see how they are assembled. https://www.flickr.com/photos/themaninthesuitcase/albums/72157671098462536/
  17. Hi welcome back, If you drop me a PM and can tell me that email I can merge the two accounts and you can keep which ever user name you want from the two.
  18. Welcome to FISD. If I have a quid for each time I spelt the url wrong.... Unfortunately I don't think it's that simple. Just because you're 5% shorter doesn't also mean you're 5% thinner for example. Really all scaling shout be done to suit you. There's lot of videos online about scaling armour. You're best bet is probably the Iron man builders who really have to nail it.
  19. Welcome to the FISD. They key to a smooth build really is reading up first before you do anything and then asking lots of questions. Sounds like you've mad a decent start on that already.
  20. Well it's a good thing I am not an accountant Im not exactly sue what I did wrong, but I miscalculated the goal, and we are going to need to re-open the fundraiser. The correct total to get us to the 14 month goal is $865.39. As of writing there is approximately $100 still to raise to make this goal. All donations will still be eligible for the 2025 supporter banner. We' would still ask for a $5 donation from members, but any value no matter how small will be appreciated. Apologies for the error.
  21. Please do not run un-official merch. We are discussing it, I can assure you. Things take time and need to be organised properly. I can't say what will or will not happen yet because we don't know. We are all volunteers and all have lives out side of the legion. Please allow us time to work through things, it's only been a week. I'm missing the details on this, but would be interested to know what happened to avoid any pitfalls. Honestly, if something were set up, we would only want enough to cover materials and postage. JRS used to have a standing merch store. I am not, or ever have been, JRS so I can only convey what I know. My understanding was you could just order merch from stock and not have to wait for a run. That is about as much as I know well enough to put here. The issue with this, from my stand point and no real knowledge of what JRS did, is who owns that stock? It won't be the detachment as we don't have standing funds to pay for it. So that means a member has paid for it out of pocket and really means that they own it. What happens if that member no longer wishes to hold this, do we have to buy them out? Or worse what if they leave the legion entirely and are now have an official legion merch and no reason to follow the rules. In short please leave it to the staff team. We are actively looking into this. Some things are simple and can happen quickly. Other things will take longer, or have complications we need to work out. Some things, as much as we'd like to, can't happen either due to logistical reasons or just not being permitted to by Legion rules.
  22. Nice progress here. would be great to see another R1 trooper!
  23. This build is really coming on, you're so close to the finish line!
