  1. Remember that this is also where you will fit it, but also shape it. So when you are doing this you want to get that taper on the parts. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  2. Generally speaking yes that is what you want to do. Where the raised ridges are is where the public will see and so you want to trim the back side of that. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  3. This is sort of what you're shooting for. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  4. Correct. However you also want to trim down a lot of that return edge on the outside as well. I think I only left about 3mm of return edge on most of my limbs. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. Did you just cut them off the old ones and use that material to glue to?
  6. Got it, for some reason I didn't think of that.
  7. Hey Tony he won't have scrap as he is using the latex/silicone ones.
  8. Just did a search and came up with this. Hope it helps or at least gets in the right direction. https://www.google.com/search?q=ca+glue+remover&oq=ca+glue+r&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j0l3.10741j1j4&client=tablet-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8 Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. I just didn't bother with the soft parts from them with mine. I thought it was too much for things I could get or make for a quarter the cost. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  10. Hey Brandon I would just replace them. Home depot grease monkey glove are great and they're around $5 or so.
  11. So Ron what you'll want to do is set up a hosting site like flickr, imgur or use an app like tapatalk to upload your photos. I like tapatalk because it allows you to directly add photos to your posts.
  12. Oh by all means join the forums over there. I was on the forums there and here for a couple of years prior being approved. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah while in was doing my build Tony suggested 48 hrs. for the shins. The rest of the kit was good at 24 hrs. I think both of them popped on my first attempt after 24 hrs., so I re-glued and waited the full 48. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  14. Let them go a good 48 hrs. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah you can take a little more of the return edge off. The length seems about right and yes you would trim those those lines but not the length. If that makes sense to you? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  16. Oh how we love to see new recruits with that big glorious box. So happy BBB day! Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  17. Hahahahaha! I've noticed this as well. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  18. Hey Trever welcome to a much larger Galaxy. What part of Oregon will you be moving to? I'm just north of Portland in Vancouver. We here at the Cloud City Garrison would be honored if you would join us. Also you can never have too many troopers. We also have a few Mandolorians in the Garrison.
  19. Totally agree Sean. They should just add a couple of small sheets like some of the other armor makers do so you cut your own. I think he does Randy. However the styrene part is as good.
  20. Jim Ferrell 95970 EIB Letter Tony Thanks Joseph, I almost forgot about this. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk http://www.whitearmor.net/eib/certificates/95970-eib.png
  21. Not sure about that, but yeah you definitely don't want to over trim the chest. Take the same approach as you did with the thighs a little at a time and fitting in between. I'm not positive, but I think you can also trim the top of the ab piece if it is too tall. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  22. A thought just occured to me that you could look up reference photos for Luke's stormtrooper disguise. Trimming the chest wouldn't be bad it looks like just a little too long. The butt is sort of tilted a bit much. The cod and butt connection will come later don't worry about that now. But looking good Taylor. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  23. Sadly there is no extra when it come to the ANOVOS strips. However you can use scrap material from the rest of the kit for the inner strips. That is what I did with mine. Though I don't recall which parts I used now.
  24. Yeah I would agree on the belt and forearms. It may just be the lighting, but your bracket screws don't look painted and the left thigh seems a bit low. I would say you're good for basic. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
