  1. I haven't had a chance to follow through a Phasma build yet. This should be fun. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  2. This is how I did mine as well Brien.
  3. Is it narrower than what you have already attached? If so then I don't think it would be an issue. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  4. What is the concern with the cut lines? Mine are pretty horrendous in some places, but they're covered so really I'm the only one that knows about them. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. Also keep in mind that your butt plate is going to be suspended from the kidney so really the two shouldn't eve over lap simply because. Strapping will be key to that I would think. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  6. LOL! Kidney yes it's a kidney. Kidneys everywhere! Well even without the return if it is strapped properly it shouldn't slip around too much if at all. I can see one bonus to that though, you could get a nice close fit between the two. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  7. That was my thought when I first read this. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  8. So in all that I've read and had told to me there's no requirement for return edge anywhere. Though there is that one for the wrist to be free of any return edge, but that is just practical thinking. So far as I understand it I would think that you would need the line between the kidney and butt plate no matter what. Even with the ROTJ kits though they are one piece, kidney and butt, there is still a line between them. The only thing I could see being affected would be the inability to use the bracket system and force you into doing snap plates instead. I'm no authority on the matter though, but that is my thoughts on what you're saying/asking. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. Hi and welcome Alex. Glad you got your photo issues sorted out, I had the same issue when I first got on here as well. Now to answer your questions the offset nature is pretty normal from what I have noticed with a lot of kits. When you begin to size your parts you will by to make from both sides not just one. This will ensure a uniform look in your parts. Return edge is entirely up to you as it is not required and actually the wrist side you want to remove completely for comfort, because it will dig into you. Hope this help you a little.
  10. Seems to be coming along well so far Sean.
  11. Ah that works to Chris and the acetone free is definitely a possibility. Mine was clear with no dyes and had no issues.
  12. I made mine using regular nail polish remover. What is the problem you're having? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. Yup. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  14. Well I got to learn something today, thanks for clarification I didn't realize there were any regular stickers out there. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  15. Tapering the wrist would be simply tapering your trim lines. I'm no authority on that one, but seems that is how you would go about it. Like I said reach out to some of the other troopers that have had to do these types of modifications. Shashachu, cricket and there's one other that I can't recall her name that have done this. 16. So you still have a lot of return edge at the elbow you can trim more of that and I believe it can be completely removed if I understand it correctly. Also I see you have a mark line near the elbow end that I'm guessing is for trimming? If so you should take that from the wrist side, to keep from having to recreate the curve in the inside piece. 17. Everything Joseph said and double check with your cod piece. I found that I have a bit too much there, it isn't bad and not biting, but I get some pinching. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  18. They are water transfer decals if I recall. Sort of like the ones you get for models if you've ever built them. Not any regular stickers I've heard of used for kits. Of course I could be wrong, but I don't think I am. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  19. Old dogs and all ya know. [emoji1] Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  20. Thanks Dan, I think I got it straight now. LOL! Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  21. Yeah I've read that as well and makes sense to me to pull them off before completely drying.
  22. Thank you again and yeah I will do that or make the nod myself. I was actually tempted to do that during my build, but didn't. I will probably get in touch with Mike at TB for new tube decals or templates not sure which yet. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  23. Thank you all and thanks to the DO team. I think many of my fitting issues may be because these photos were from a troop and I had just finished up in our booth, not making excuses, just guessing that that may be why. I appreciate the feedback and will be getting on those fixes. The shoulder bell I found had lost some stitching and has been fixed. Hand guards are now silicone and curing. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  24. Then yeah there are those that completely remove it. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  25. A lot of people go as small as 2-3mm some leave more it's a personal choice. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
