  1. I'm sure one of the DO team will chime in on this, but I think it looks good. Perhaps round off the edges just a bit, but I'll defer to those that make call on the higher levels. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  2. A good test is to touch the top of your head. If you can do that comfortably than you're good. Because you will have to put your bucket on after everything else. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah and the two are not always the same. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  4. Go back a few posts. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  5. It is coming along and that forearm looks good. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  6. So how's it coming Taylor? Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  7. Glad to help with that spacing. It was one I sort of struggled with as I was building as well. Who knows if they will or not it would be nice though. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  8. Those look good. If you notice there is a slightly sharper taper on your inside piece and the longer swoop is on the outside. From what I know and I may be corrected by tony or someone else, but that is the proper alignment for them. This is how mine look if it helps. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  9. So they look pretty good. However it does seem that you have a bit of room to play with in the bicep sizing. I mean it appears that you have nearly a half inch between you and the armor and quite a bit of return edge. This could cause some discomfort and "armor bite" down the road I would suggest bringing the return edge down a little more and tightening the fit just a little more. 10. Yes that right forearm is quite oval and yeah it could use some re-shaping. The bicep seems it could use a bit as well, but it does seem to be a bit tight fitting. Unless you have more space on the other side of it, it difficult to tell without being able to see both sides. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  11. Ignore me for now listen to Glen. Build post pictures as questions arise and get feedback then proceed. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  12. I see yeah remove the film. Boil water then submerge parts for 15-20 seconds, shape and run under cold water to set the shape. Repeat as necessary. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  13. Washing for fitting and shaping? Not sure I understand what you mean by this. Once you start gluing you can remove the protective film as it will get into the way. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  14. LOL! Sometimes yeah. Yeah so far as I know there's no measured requirements on that. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  15. Perfect! Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  16. I may be corrected, but I would say yes that all needs to go. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  17. Was going to suggest the higher grit later as well, but you beat me to it Glen. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  18. I agree with Glen about the higher levels, but you never know you may reconsider later on. Sent from my VK815 using Tapatalk
  19. This is the type of gap I thought you meant, but this is how the thighs should be. The other pieces should be just to the edge or a mm or 2 shorter. Sent from my 5054N using Tapatalk
  20. I see what you mean now. Like I said you could Dremel them, but there's a lot of risk with that. You could, depending on what glue you're using, just pull it up a bit and trim it. Another possibility is to use a exacto blade and trim them as they are just be careful and don't so slowly. If you're more comfortable with pulling them completely and regluing them after cleaning them up of any old glue.
  21. Do you have some pictures showing the gap? The amount of gap would determine the solution. However with regards to the length you could Dremel them down, but it would be risky. Like I said the size of the gap will greatly determine the best way of dealing with it.
  22. Yeah the cover strips should be slightly shorter then the pieces. So far as the reshaping I'm not sure, but it does appear to be excessively oblonged, but I'll let Tony clarify that.
  23. Lorelei keep what Tony said in mind about the trimming and reshaping. Another thing is look through other builds, I'm pretty sure the general consensus for return edge is 3-5mm.
  24. Looking good.
