I think the distinction lies between the those stationed on Cloud city and those poor souls stationed on Endor. No dirt/soil to stain while serving on a floating city, but tons of Ewok scat to wade through takes a toll on the color of the soles.

The sides could use some trimming, Ken. You should be able to remove at least as much as I have highlighted below and be good, just remember to follow the contours of the cheek. Your gaps (or lack thereof) on the tops are beyond perfect, (), but don't forget that some gaps are not only allowed, but expected. Trim in small increments. It's easy to take it off, but putting it back on is another story. lol. Nice job on the ear screw alignment! You would have no issue with this passing at Basic or EI, but for level 3 we would probably ask that the lines be cleaned up a tad. A soft bristle Filbert brush can do wonders!

Nice catch, Glen! I would go "White/off-white or cream" though. They probably all turn tan eventually, but having that color listed may may be open to interpretation.

Just a quick note to congratulate our latest additions to the ranks of Expert Infantry. Way to go, Troopers! 1. Eric Foehner- (GoofTrooper) TK 34723 ANH Stunt 2. Jasper Tan- (merkava74) TK 7867 TFA

MV's ANH TK Stunt [ATA] 1st Build Thread for Centurion

I hope you realize that once your 501st approval is granted that I am expecting even more great things from you here on the FISD, Caleb. -
Welcome back, Jasper, and thank you for your Centurion application! CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos are present, and FANTASTIC job on your build, brother. We are pleased to announce your armor displays all the necessary requirements as set out in the CRL. On behalf of the Sha Sha and myself, congratulations and welcome to the rank of TFA Centurion! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: None! On a side note, I gotta' say this is the best submission I have seen yet, Jasper. The photos are professional, the lighting is perfect, and that armor... well, it's just incredible.... it was truly a pleasure reviewing it. Outstanding job, sir, and I'm sure you will make the Singapore Garrison, the FISD and the 501st proud when you wear it! One favor I would ask is that you drop in to the FISD from time to time to add your expertise in our new First Order Battle Group section here. I'm sure some of those looking for guidance could use your help!

Hi Jasper, and thank you for your EI submission! In the following review I will be going over items pertaining to your current submission, as well as those that will be required for Centurion level should you choose to apply... (and with this armor, I expect it)! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted and I am very pleased to announce your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for TFA Expert Infantry. On behalf of Sha Sha and myself, Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. Note that we consider both text (CRL) and pictures (screen caps/reference images) when reviewing submissions. WOW.. Nothing to mention here! This is a first for me, brother. I have reviewed countless submissions for Expert Infantry and there's always at least a few suggestions to go over in this area, but in this case you nailed it on the first round! Your attention to detail is phenomenal, and I can tell that your heart and soul have gone into this build. Centurion Requirements In this section we prepare you for Centurion. More photos may be requested in the future that allow us to make better decisions on possible adjustments. If there are any areas of concern they will be discussed here. Because Centurion photos show much more detail than those for Expert Infantry, items to pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all that we can from what is seen, but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. There is absolutely nothing holding you back from reaching Centurion level, Jasper, so I expect to see that submission as soon as you get the chance to post it so that we can get that badge under your name. Well done, sir. Well done indeed, so buckets off to you!

Oh the fun you can have with buckets! Thinking of doing this on a build just to give me a more friendly look:
-
They appear to meet all the requirements, but the only thing they may ding you on is that the manufacturer's name is very prominent on the heel. That would not be acceptable for L2 as a regular TK. That could probably be sanded off, and they could definitely be polished for a better shine.
-
My pleasure, sir. Keep posting photos and asking questions, Ryan, it's what we are here for!
-
First, when putting your bucket on know that it NEVER goes straight on, but goes on at an angle and then gets straightened up so that you can see (somewhat) clearly.
-
If I may offer a couple of tips, they would be these, Ryan.. First, know that your arms will be bent most of the time while trooping, and that point (red arrow) will poke into your arm, so I would suggest cutting it off. There are quite a few examples of this particular point being left on in the OT armor, but let's face it, sometimes we do extended troops and having that jab into your arm for several hours is no picnic. As long as the cover strips cover the seam you are golden

As Tony (ukswrath) mentioned, you really can't get any more screen accurate that RS. It has those glorious lumps and bumps in the bucket and their customer service is second to none! However, AP is also a fantastic choice. All of the armorers listed in our "vetted sellers" area are there for a reason... tried and true products from quality sellers, so you can't go wrong.

I would use Goo-Gone, which is a citrus based solvent and will not damage your armor. It will dissolve latex and enamel paint as well as adhesive residue. Runs about 3 bucks for a 2 ounce bottle at Home Depot, Lowe's and the like. (Found in the Paint dept.)

Looking MUCH better, sir! I see two small issues that may come up, but these would depend on your GML. The gaps between your bicep/forearm could be evened out a bit, as the left is a bit lower than the right. Evening them out is a pretty easy fix and would give you a much better look. The other is the paint on the frown and top of the left ear bump. For some reason it looks to have bubbled a bit and is pretty rough. Overall, though, looking sharp! Nice job!!

MV's ANH TK Stunt [ATA] 1st Build Thread for Centurion
justjoseph63 replied to MaskedVengeance's topic in ANH Build Threads
Looking great, Caleb! Don't forget that the areas inside the "humps" need to come out as well. Before final fitting/gluing, make sure that the scoops at the top of the forearms are deep enough. This is the main area that "armor bite" happens in due to the arms being constantly bent. You should be able to wear them for extended periods without that small bit of return edge cutting into you. "My recent posts have been quite photo heavy, and I don't want to overload any of those of you following along..." There is no such thing as too many photos, lol, so bring em' on! -
The brow would look a lot better if it were even all the way across.
