  1. Tony's (ukswrath) is pretty much the "go-to" thread for this build, Ethan. He describes all the parts you will need and where to source them. It is in 2 parts- http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30034-hwt-backpack-build-part-1/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30036-heavy-weapons-backpack-build-part-2/ My buddy Charles (Templar726) also has a great thread, in which he uses a thicker oil pan, which is what I used: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/30222-templars-hwt-pack-build/ If I can be of any help, just let me know!
  2. A larger weapon is not a requirement at any level, (but they are sweet), LOL. You can carry an E-11 at level 3, but not a holster. A few things, though.. as stated in the CRL the pauldron must be of the "puffy" variety for level 3. Not all of them available out there are made like this. I will make a strong suggestion though, regarding packs. Many folks are really going to town with extra items such as video monitors, LED lights, crazy greeblies etc. These may make it past your GML, but they will not be allowed at levels 2 and 3. Everyone likes to customize their packs a bit, but the key word is continuity. When you have 2 HWTs at an event and their packs are way different, it takes away from the look. The CRLs are there for a reason.
  3. Good question, Ethan. IMHO, it's better to get your regular TK approved at Stunt level 3 first, then go on to HWT. Some things you will have to consider though are the canvas belt cannot have holes from the holster, and that no drop boxes are permitted, so I would invest in a new one. This way, you can bounce back and forth from shiny white to HWT easier.
  4. And the smell... don't forget about the smell.
  5. Actually you should be able to now, Mike. A minimum of 5 posts in necessary to access that area, and that's what you are at with this one. If you still can't get to it, let us know.
  6. Well, at least the Sand People got blamed, LOL.
  7. I always wondered what rainbows were made of!
  8. All taken care of, but thanks for your responses! I will keep you in mind, though, as I always have come crazy project going on, LOL.
  9. I will allow this, Jeff, as I was there marching with you!
  10. Yeah, you gotta admit it is hilarious, even if it is at our expense. One of my favorite comebacks when someone says something along the lines of "You guys can't hit anything" is "Ask Luke's aunt and uncle about that...." Shuts em' down every time.
  11. Dang, I actually amused myself with that last post.
  12. Only because my knowledge of computers could literally fit on a postage stamp, Preston. In my day, computers were a thing of the future, like Buck Rogers. You young whippersnappers have all the learning... In my youth, we used to have to travel miles in the snow to go to a troop. Uphill. Both ways. Our armor was made from plywood. Lots of splinters. But we persevered. LOL!!!
  13. The latex hand guards are not a necessity for EIB, Evan, but are required for level 3, (Centurion), which I hope you are aiming for. The screws for the TD that Anovos includes are not canon, but can (and should) be replaced with flat-head pan type screws, painted black. The hovi mic tips can be painted white on the inside and front, but the screen should be replaced for level 3. A look at some of the Anovos Centurion submission threads should help you out: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/72-request-centurion-status/
  14. Great to hear that you are aiming for EIB (and hopefully Centurion) with your build, Evan! I would advise checking out Tony's (ukswrath) Anovos build thread, which will give you all the step by step info. you need to take your build to level 3. You can find that here: http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/
  15. Hola! I need someone with Corel Draw or a similar program for an FISD related project I am working on. It would probably take half an hour of your time, and I can't afford to pay you. I can, however, send you a really cool official 501st car decal. If interested, please PM me. THANKS! Joseph
  16. You could very well be the coolest dad ever, Rick! Great job!
  17. I forgot to ask, Gary, but did you or Ann do Keith's "Santa Vader" cape and hat?
  18. Exactly, Ben. That is why it is the "Trooper's best friend"!
  19. You really went above and beyond on these, Gary. Thanks for all the hard work you and Ann put into these awesome costumes!!!!!
  20. Those are vinyl boot covers, help on with elastic and Velcro.
  21. Which armorer did you use, Ethan? You can usually order extra ABS pieces from the manufacturer. Some photos of the back would help, and you may have a few other issues, but we can help.
  22. That was all due to the creative genius of Gary and his wife Ann, Brian. They also made the giant "wind up" mechanisms for the other characters (that actually worked)! Well worth all their hard work, I'd say!
  23. The theme for the annual Clermont. FL. Christmas parade this year was "Candyland", and the Makaze Squad (along with some of the Tampa Bay Squad) decided to go all the way on this one! Gary (flashpoint0214) and his wife Ann made these incredible toy soldier costumes for 8 of us to wear, so needless to say I didn't go HWT for this one. We had a total of over 70 participants, , including the Emperor, "wind-up" Mercs and biker scouts, gingerbread Jawas, TFA characters and or course Santa Vader. A few Rebels managed to infiltrate the gathering, but in the holiday spirit we had a temporary truce, and a great time was had by all. (Where else are you gonna' see Han, Chewie and the Emperor in the same place).
  24. Well, it's that time of the year when Christmas parades and troops are everywhere! So, in that vein I have decided to give away yet another official Disney Imperial cog jacket, new with tags (below) to the coolest, most awesome TK Christmas outfit for the 2016 holiday.
