  1. Funny you should say that.. I actually got my first job because of SW. When it came out in '77, I had to have it all, and bought everything SW that came out, and I mean everything. Over the next 3 years I spent every cent I earned on it and amassed a collection that took up 3 giant packing crates, all mint and new in box. I went in the Navy, and found out 6 months later that my mom sold it all to friend for $150.00. Ouch. At least she gave me the money, lol.
  2. That one was made by Kenner, and usually sells for around 10-20 dollars depending on condition and if it has the stand and E-11. Yours looks to be mint or near mint. I can never get over the size of those tubes on the bucket, lol.
  3. If you haven't done the calves yet I would strongly suggest using a few ABS scraps (1 inch wide or so) to make interior cover strips for the fronts. The calves get quite a workout from being opened and closed a lot, so that adds some reinforcement on that seam. They don't have to be pretty, lol, as no one sees them anyway and it will not affect approval at any level. Something else I would suggest is to reinforce the neck and sides of your chest plate (see photo) in the same way you did the return edges for the brackets using the scraps from your build. Anovos armor tends to split in these areas, and if you reinforce them now you won't have that problem. Keep up the great work!!
  4. My apologies for the delay Chris. I am almost finished with your submission, but could you post up one last shot for me? (No need to get suited up). I need a clear, close up view of the area as shown below. Thanks!
  5. Walt make a GREAT kit, and is a tried and true seller here. For basic ANH- Stunt approval, you will need boots, and undersuit (I suggest getting a 2 piece), holster, canvas belt and neck seal. If you will (hopefully) be aiming for Expert Infantry you will need an E-11 blaster, as well as the correct hardware (split rivets, TD screws, etc. For Centurion level you will also need flexible hand guards. I believe Walt's kits come with all the necessary items to build the helmet, but not sure about the others. Since it will take a while (usually around 3-6 weeks or so) to build your armor, you will have plenty of time to order any items needed. Most things can be purchased from various members here on the FISD, but below are some links that may help: Build supply list: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/31404-supply-list-for-your-tk-build/ Here are some vendors/places I can recommend to purchase things: Boots: https://www.imperialboots.com/# These are what I troop in. I suggest ordering a size larger than what you normally wear. Neck seal: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/21385-darmans-neck-seals/ (HIGHLY recommend seller) Canvas belt: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/19803-fs-white-canvas-belts/ Another A-one seller. Custom made to order in your size. Thigh garter system: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/29991-thigh-garter-system/ Not a requirement, per se, but they are awesome! E-11: https://www.doopydoos.com/stormtrooper-e-11-complete-anh-e-11-blaster-kit-offer-2685-p.asp These are great if you want to build your own. They are not always in stock and can take up to 5 weeks for delivery, but you can make them super screen accurate with one of Tino's incredible kits: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28444-fs-completion-sets-for-e-11-resin-kits-with-worldwide-tracked-shipping-and-paypal/ For the undersuit, you can try ebay or amazon. Just search "Men's black compression pants/shirt". Usually around 10-15 bucks per piece, but make sure there is no lettering, logos or stripes visible on the shirt or below the waistband on the pants, like these: Pants: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Compression-Tights-Athletic-Base-Layer-Black-Sports-Gym-Workout-Long-Pants/332659983867?hash=item4d741485fb:g:YNsAAOSwYeNbA-OG:rk:9:pf:0&var=541785732007 Shirt: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mens-Sports-Gym-Compression-Under-Base-Layer-Tops-Long-Sleeve-Quick-Dry-T-Shirt/253771090044?hash=item3b15ef887c:g:QJwAAOSwByFbVZvn:rk:7:pf:0&var=553051004305 If you are aiming for the higher levels, I sell some things as well if needed. Just look under my avatar below for the links. If we can be of any help with anything or you have any questions, always feel free to ask... we are here to help!
  6. It was a well deserved advancement, D'Angelo! Do you live in Washington or Oregon?
  7. You may want to try some sort of waterproofing spray like this: https://www.amazon.com/Shoe-Protector-Spray-Eco-Friendly-Fluoropolymers/dp/B075K6DNPC/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?ie=UTF8&qid=1542923461&sr=8-1-spons&keywords=waterproofing+spray+for+shoes&psc=1 Whichever one you choose make sure that it has a color safe property.
  8. Hi Chris, and thank you for your submission! I need a couple of things before we can proceed, sir.. 1. Please add a full left side photo, arms raised. 2. As per the CRL for level 2, your TD screws (currently V-head Philips style) will need to be replaced. "Clips shall be attached with slotted, pan head style screws...". Reference image Pan head slotted screws As soon as you get those done, post up the photos and we can move on and get you to EI! Thanks!
  9. Hi Nizam, welcome and thank you for your EIB application! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required photos have been posted. Your armor displays all necessary elements as set forth in the level 2 CRL. On behalf of the D.O. Staff, I would like to congratulate and welcome you to EI, Trooper. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a few areas to discuss so let's get started, brother. As we go through these keep in mind the accuracy of your armor is ultimately up to you. 1. The positioning of your right ear is perfect, but your left one could use some adjusting. The center of the circular part at the top should line up with the rear of the trap... basically where the brow trim ends. The bottom could be moved back a bit as well. Note how the screws in the reference photos below follow the angle of the rear of the trap. If you can safely move this it would greatly improve the look. Reference image Reference image 2. Your right forearm could definitely be moved up a bit to match the one on the left. There should be about a 10 mm gap on both sides. 3. You have 2 photos that show different positioning of your thighs. The one in photo A shows them too low, and the one in photo B shows them too high. The proper positioning is actually somewhere in the middle, as seen in the reference image. Making this adjustment will vastly improve your mobility and comfort. Photo A Photo B Reference image 4. Your right drop box is at the correct level, but the one on the left looks as if it wants to sit underneath your ABS belt. The strap may need to be lengthened 3-4 mm to allow it to hang beneath. Reference image 5. The tops of your kidney/ab connection should line up level. There is a 1 cm or so gap, but this can be easily remedied with strapping adjustments. Reference images 6. We suggest closing in the gap between your back/kidney plates if possible. We see that the bracket system is being used, but you should be able to tighten the straps that connect them, especially the center one. Reference image 7. In several of your photos your sniper knee plate is sitting behind the bottom of the thigh, (I had the same issue). This can be easily remedied by placing a strip of foam (2 cm x 2 cm x 20 cm) along the inside of the front, aligning with the interior cover strip. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EI, items pertaining to level 3 might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. 1. There is a 1 cm + gap on both sides of your shoulder bell/shoulder bridge connections which needs to be addressed. This is also a really easy fix with some strapping adjustments. Reference image 2. Another strapping issue that should be simple to do is to eliminate the ab/kidney gap on your right. Your left one is absolutely spot-on! Reference image 3. The outside edges of your drop boxes will need to line up with the outside edge of your ABS belt. You may have to re-do the white straps, but after that you can glue the rear of the straps in place to ensure they stay in the correct position. (Not as hard as it sounds)! Reference image 4. First, GREAT job on those shims! They sit perfectly flush with the kidney and are completely acceptable for EI. For Centurion level (which I hope you will be aiming for next) as stated in the CRL you will need to cover the shimmed seam with ABS paste and sand it down to where it matches the existing finish. It will take some work, but many Troopers have done this and if you need advice or help on how to do this just let us know! We truly appreciate the requested changes you have made so far, sir, (TD screws, shims, etc.). You have a bit of work in front of you, but you have hundreds of Troopers here to help, so we have every confidence that you will do a fantastic job and look forward to seeing your Centurion submission when you get ready, so see you then!
  10. Hi D'Angelo! Welcome back and thank you for your Centurion application and for adjusting those drop boxes... much better! I also appreciate that you lowered the brow trim, removed the extra tube stripes, switched the shoulder bells and I gotta say that you NAILED the ab button issues! (Excellent paint job on those, by the way). AWESOME work, brother! (And there was no need to cross your fingers, lol) CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos appear to be present. On behalf of the D.O. Staff I would like to welcome you to the rank of Centurion. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: The only thing I could recommend is that you tighten up the gap between the top of the thighs and the cod area a bit. Other than that, incredible job on this armor. Now get out there and make the Empire and Cloud City Garrison proud, Trooper!
  11. Sounds logical to me. Great eye as always!
  12. Thanks for you awesome looking submission, D'Angelo! I will be with you shortly.
  13. Hi Frederik! Welcome back... thank you for your Centurion application and for making the required level 3 adjustments. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required submission photos appear to be present. On behalf of the D.O. Staff we would like to welcome you to Centurion. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: The right shoulder bell could still stand to come in about 3-4 mm, and I would keep an eye on your sniper knee plate. In your EI app it was fine, but it looks as if it wants to ride under the thigh., and touching up the paint on the tops of your boots would make for a better overall appearance. I would highly suggest doing this now as the elastic will stretch with use and age and will only get worse. Nothing more to add, so welcome to Centurion!
  14. Congrats, Wesley, and welcome to the rank of Expert Infantry!
  15. Wow, brother... just WOW! (Don't forget to weather that beauty up, though).
  16. Really nice build on this armor, Eric! Fantastic job on trimming the ab-button plates, and the positioning of your TD plate (one of my pet peeves) is spot-on, brother. One of us will be with you shortly.
  17. Looks like this TK's head didn't quite make it out of the trash compactor. Is it me, or are the boxes on the ammo belt just a little large?
  18. Looking sharp, brother... thanks for the updates and SUPER nice job on those shims!! I just need one more photo (I promise) and then I can get started. Can you add some white paint to those rivets for me? No need to get suited up, of course. Almost there!!
  19. Hi Davin , thank you for your EI application and your patience! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All required submission photos have been posted, and I am very pleased to announce your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. On behalf of the D.O. Staff, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. First, many thanks and FANTASTIC job on fixing those cover strips!! As you know, the higher levels are all about the small details, and here are a few issues that are recommended: 1. Your shoulder bridges are really high up in the back, and should lay flat against the back plate tabs. A hot water bath would help you (gently) get these into the correct shape. Reference image 2. Your forearms are riding a little high, and there should be a gap. You have room at the bottom, so lowering them by adding about an inch to the forearm/bicep strapping would make them look loads better, as well as make it much easier for you to bend your arms. Reference image 3. The right ab/kidney connection appears to be at a much sharper angle than normal. The seam should run vertically. It may just be that the overlap is off, but if you (hopefully) submit for level 3, please check this. Reference image 4. The ends of your TD clips are flaring out, so we suggest re-shaping them to where they are flush to the TD. They should fit tightly against it which will prevent them from snagging on anything. The screws appear to be correct, but should you submit for Centurion please provide a close up of the screws themselves. Reference image 5. Not a deal breaker, but your posterior snaps are a little too close together. In theory they should have about a 1/4 inch (5 mm) gap between them. Reference image 6. I would suggest cutting down the tops of your thighs a bit as seen in the photo. The center area is perfect, but there should be a small gap. This will also help immensely for comfort and mobility. Reference image 7. Looking at the shadow underneath your sniper knee plate there appears to be a gap where there shouldn't be one, and it should fit snugly against the top of the calf. Reference image 8. Excellent job on trimming the large ab-button panel, but the small one could use a bit more. Also, the gray on the ones circled could use re-doing , and the bottom blue ones are oversized. Note in the reference image that the paint does not leave the actual button, and that it doesn't even cover it completely. Reference image Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. 1. The outside edges of your drop boxes will need to be aligned with the outside edges of the ABS belt. Some E-6000 on the back of the strap should do the trick! Reference image 2. There are a few issues with your E-11, sir, but nothing that can't be fixed. Again, for level 3 it's all about the details. a). The rear sight is backwards. The small ridges need to be in the back. b). The charging handle is backward. c). The T-tracks need to be fitted more securely to the barrel d). Most of the finishes are great, but we highly suggest that you fill/sand down the 3D print lines on the barrel which will give you a much more realistic look. Reference image Reference image Nice job on this armor, Davin, and I hope you will consider taking the suggestions to heart (after seeing what you did with those cover strips I know you have the talent) so that we can see your Centurion submission soon!
  20. Way too good to be true. Materials cost alone (even in China) would be more than that, and there is no way they could ship it for that price. Save your money.
  21. Trust me on the wax-paper thing. If you are using my hand guards, you can use E-6000 to attach them, as I embed the backs with cloth. Note that for level 2 and above that gloves must be made entirely of rubber, but if you scuff-up the back with sandpaper and clean it thoroughly with alcohol they will adhere firmly.
  22. Those would be perfectly acceptable for basic approval, but for levels 2 and 3 they will need to be made completely out of rubber.
  23. Yes sir! Sorry for the delay, D. I am working on this right now! Thanks for your patience, sir.
  24. I had an issue as well in the morning, but by the afternoon it had cleared up. This was all the message said: The strange thing is that I tried to copy it, but it wouldn't let me, so I had to type it out by hand. 25. Great to see another TK on the way here in central FL., Dennis! Are you aiming for Hero or Stunt? The reason I ask is that the teeth are Hero style (6 teeth) and the holster has 4 rivets attaching it t the belt. PM sent.
