  1. #d printed scope is the incorrect shape. The rear foot is wrong. nice build.
  2. Excellent advice Rob! I was glad to see your photos here! keep up the good work...
  3. I created this tutorial using the best screws I could find. Had to order a lot of them. If Troopermaster can show the correct screw type I'm sure that would be helpful. I know he uses wood screws with no washer or nut on them. I like the look of the screws I use, they look very close to the ones on the original. The width of the strip used is indeed 1/8" less than on the originals, because the scale of the TE/AP tube is also indeed smaller. For the purpose of scale, this is why I make the smaller AP tube with smaller strips. The thickness of the strip is a little thicker for a robust part. The front screw location on each strip can indeed be less than 1/2" from the front of the strip. you can put it at 1/4" if you want. My goal never was to create a tutorial on "prop replica" style T Dets. My goal has always been to make the closest design with the parts that are in the TE derived kit. if you want to look at my tutorial as a series of BAD ADVICE, I suggest you look at STEVE GAZA's comment about this tutorial. I have always felt that some members of the FISD need to turn down the volume on their OCD. I think I will add to the top of the list in this thread that this is not supposed to be used for anything but a TE derived T Det. if Steve approved of this before, I personally cannot see why there is a necro post designed to point out what I have already pointed out.
  4. I have a real folding stock if you want one?
  5. There are several makers... http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/16-ongoing-sales-project-orders/
  6. it is a fun toy. apparent in it's lack of certain details.
  7. I like building websites. here is an example www.e-11blaster.com
  8. it looks like I was nominated, only a short time before nominations are to be accepted. so all the links to accept the nomination were closed. good luck to all candidates. I missed my deadline.
  9. The process has changed. I was nominated last year and came in second out of 3 candidates. so even a proposed DL has a learning curve. I do not propose to be perfect. Perhaps my honesty and open mind can present a new person to liven up our detachment. I respect and honor paul and eric and mathias and only praise their leadership. I was nominated, and I didn't see in my MB DB the links, nor on the main boards. the web designs seem to have changed.
  10. I feel like a newb... Educate me? I've been nominated, and I don't know my butt from a hole in the ground.
  11. Not Bad. If the diameter of the pipe is the AP or TE diameter then you use 8.5 inches. If the diameter of the pipe is larger as in the RS props style, Then you would use a longer strip at about 9.5 and trim from there. The key measurement, is at the bend where the belt rests, which always needs to be 3 1/4" Your end bends seem a little long. Looks kinda like jesse's old style!
  12. take the return off the bottom of the bicep. on the forearms, remove the return at the cup of the elbow. the top part of the elbow retains the return edge on the forearm.
  13. I use suspenders. accuracy has little to do with the internal hardware. the external look is most important. not everyone is the correct body size. suspenders give troopers with body challenges the option for a custom fit.
  14. Where the hhuumping hell are the files!
  15. The helmet itself has several major flaws. The eye external sculpt has been sharpened. The vocoder area, and the paintjob associated with that is WAY off. the paintwork on the frown, the vocoder and the ears, along with the missing details in the sculpt. this is indeed a cleaned up sculpt. It is not an accuracy derived sculpt. It has the handedness in the arms, and the leg individuality of the Brian Muir, but it lacks in the detail, and has been made larger in comparison to the originals, in the kit form there is that extra 1/4 inch in some key parts, and the AB looks to have been enlarged. more to come. It is like looking at an expert combining the TE with the RS, and then adding a twist. overall the armor is like a choosing between a weird EFX sculpt and An EFX. it's like.. " Game over man. It's a bug hunt" Bishop... if we only had help. and on the other side of the coin is this. The sculpt overcomes many of the problems I've seen before. So while I might not like certain aspects of the ANOVOS sculpt helmet I do have to thank them for a quality product that is in many ways as a helmet to be up to 501 standards. The anovos sculpt is a wild new entry to the fan sculpt market. as this clearly is not derived or recast. Yet includes the offset cod vertical line, and the abdomen details. The forearms are funny because they are close, but far away.
