  1. I can clearly see they are different. so RS and AV are not the same.
  2. These are the added parts to the RS?
  3. I see clear differences across the board. I know these... and I completely agree! Well done 31501
  4. comedy is always welcome... along with many other emotions and opinions! Photos probably work better.
  5. Photos added to first post and more to come.
  6. THIS to quote a line from gino as comedy " You will have to take my word for it."
  7. The medium to produce the forming tool. This is what makes the difference in a part. I know by holding both parts in my hands, and observing the difference. The forming tools used to produce AV armor, has nothing in comparison directly in form with the RS parts. The avovos sculpt does not keep the brian muir sculpt alive... it has changed it.
  8. if we intended to we would, but this was a fun get together. by no means attempting to be 'photographic evidence in the court' I actually started this thread to get troopers to photograph RS and AV together. we can post more photos in the future... and we will. you can post more photos and I hope you will.
  9. this is about learning.. not guessing, or arguing. this is about RS and Anovos. let's see some better photos troops!
  10. The sniper knee and the thigh power pack... are those the parts sculpted and sent to RS? The sniper knee on the anovos is really really different from the RS. and none of them look like the screen used versions. if so, then I can say they are not the same on each suit.
  11. Very well put. I knew this thread was going to go crazy. If there are any members with Anovos armor, or RS armor please post some photos. let's have some fun. and can we keep NE armor out of this... I started this thread to compare RS and AV. not the whole freaking bucket of circus animals. and if you don't understand why I put the backplates at different light angles, is because you can't see the differences. by having them at different angles I was purposefully using the light to my advantage.
  12. I think there are some photos missing from the thread. I'll have to go over them again. Personally when you own the suit, and you stand there with very little time, we were a little rushed in the process of doing this. having the parts right there in front of you shows several major differences in each part. Helmets are completely different. RS having the bumpy finish and the lines on the cap n back from the HDPE Shoulder straps are a completely different shape Shoulder bells are different, with anovos having a larger swoop. Chest on the Anovos is larger torso clearly shows a larger shape on the anovos. The photos were arranged by the owner of the RS suit, and he didn't want to move them around. The RS suit makers have mentioned that they resculpted all parts presented to them, and I think this includes paul's sculpts. The sniper knee on both the RS and the AV are completely different from what I see on screen. When we do another troop, after I'm done making 7 suits of armor, I'll make sure and get a few more snaps. Personally I think it's amazing that people can see some kind of recasting going on between RS and AV. They clearly come from the same source, and again clearly have been modified. The details of assembly on the legs, forearms and biceps makes the recast debate go away for me. Some of you think there is a conspiracy. I have to laugh at that, sure the photos arn't perfect. Why don't you guys start posting photos.. This is a free and open forum. Instead of pointless debate, let's all work together to solve the issue. I for one cannot say recast. But then what do I know...
  13. I had a feeling this thread was going to be interesting.
  14. I started this thread with the intention to start the process of eliminating the concept that AV and RS have any recasting. We didn't have the time, and my forearm photos that I shot were not in the library? weird. This was done in a quick armor party where I was asked to help repair some parts on the RS.
  15. I said it first ... waaaaaa...
  16. do the photos show the clear difference?
  17. can you elaborate dear sir... droid english voice.
  18. I was happy to have a small armor party with Trooper. We started out the day with A photo comparison shoot, and then ended the day with him repairing his thigh cover strip. I was on hand to advise and lend some materials and supplies. Trooper demonstrated the patience and will to remove his cover strip in the shop, care and light sanding before he did some clamping and re-glue from plastic weld to e-6000. We used a replacement cover strip and my clamping method to finish it out. Anovos RS Anovos RS Anovos Anovos Anovos RS/ Anovos RS RS TK 2392 and TK removed Anovos kit 2392 RS propmasters kit removed I was asked to remove the TK ID. RS props and Anovos productions armor are clearly from a shared source that has been modified. In no way do I see 3d scanning, or recasting used. Peter and I both agree that this is not a recast. The anovos differs from the RS in some major ways. Having fun in chico, ca.
  19. With so many belt makers out and about these days, I was wondering if we have a screen accurate measurement of the belt overlap. Some makers have 4, some have 5 inches? so what's the consensus on the distance?
  20. Recast FX armor.
  21. Paul, I have always admired you. I personally own the Anovos kit. And one of my friends owns the RS props kit. So I compared them. The anovos kit is NOT a direct recast of the RS suit itself. I know because I put the anovos parts up against the RS parts. with this type of up close comparison I can clearly see where anovos has altered and resized their parts in some areas. The chest and back are clearly much different than the RS. The original poster should have no problem finding the materials at michaels crafts... that's exactly where I get my latex and acrylic paint. Try wicker white, and bright white mixed together for a slightly biscuit color.
  22. The process of making the latex plates does not generate heat.
