  1. Thanks mathias! there were 3 photos that are listed as open to use, but the other ones simply need permissions from LFL. The card back, forest endor and death star corridor show open to use data. have fun!
  2. try this LEGION LARGE SETS
  3. as long as they fit everything looks fine.
  4. Most likely you will have to fill it in with bondo and make it look like an M38. that's what most people do.
  5. In 2 part mold making you can make the 2 halves with a hinge by not applying mold release to the hinge part of the second pour. this creates a 'glove' style mold.
  6. AAron knows the screws to order.
  7. one more reason to simply sell a partially assembled kit format with the parts all taken apart so that importers can see it's a model but even model guns can be subject to local laws. it looks like they inspected it for smuggling, as well as function as a weapon.
  8. I use latex rubber mold material. it's a thicker application that makes it work best. When making 'replica' helmets it can be quite a complex art of shapes, cuts, placement and detailing in scratches. since this is a hobby, and a deployment situation, the best practice is to get your local GML .on your build process, as well as having the FISD deployment officer involved in the process
  9. HDPE has a high oil content, so that's what makes the process of painting more difficult. usually I would want to use the plastic primer, then the latex for chips and finally a topcoat that is designed to match the primer. remember to leave paint runs and cracks in all the right places! great job of explaining the ears tension placements. can you show in photos in detail how you made the attachments? and adjustments?
  10. I think the ears are 98% correct! the angle of the photo is slightly different. The ear on the right side of the photo (left ear) seems to be turned because of the angle of your comparison photos. getting the tension right, and the spacing right on those ears shows your expertise. The hovie tip placement seems to be stellar! only thing I notice is the 4th tooth on the left side, (right side of helmet) seems a little large! the shape comparisons on the brow and eyes again show your great attention to detail!
  11. wow that trimmed suit sure looks good! bolt the helmet together with the brow trim! quick! you will need to separate the kidney from the rear if you're doing ANH or ESB versions of the armor. most likely the legs and arms parts should still have the "overlap" plastic still on the parts, Depending upon your measurements you will have to cut some of the overlapping portions off to properly do the butt join and cover strip method of assembly.
  12. Most people are using the incorrect larger size to hold the belt on. here is the breakdown for the parts I use on the AB section of the armor 3 Split Rivets with 1" elastic and washers on the left side. 1 split Rivet holding the cod strap, with a jeans style female snap. 2 jeans style snaps for holding the belt onto the front of the AB. 1 larger size snap facing inwards on the upper right side, for attaching the kidney to the AB. The kidney plate: 3 split Rivets and washers for connection to the left side of the AB. 2 jeans style studs for connection at the cod. one strap glued to the inside of the upper right, for attachment to the AB. with female larger snap.
  13. Holy moly That is freakin mazin bro!
  14. I own the ATA, have built over 50 AP and have built 3 MTK.. overall I still vote for the AP helmet, with MTK armor the plastic quality of the AP outshines the quality of the other 2. the design flaws in the ATA make the MTK stand out the only flaw in the AP is the kidney notch was taken out of the mold.
  15. Good to see you again ALEX!!! chico is a long way from florida!
  16. most likely the classic TK will follow along the lines of most assembly methods previously used.
  17. that is what I use gotta just get a ton of em!
  18. I would say from looking at submissions the key here is to have a flexible white armor part on the back of the glove.
  19. where is the link to ROTJ parts?
