  1. the assembly of brackets takes some special alignment issues. length of elastics, placement and the way you act when you wear it. these are all aspects of the original bracket system. I personally don't like the placement on the chest, the positioning seems to keep people from twisting at the chest.
  2. keith is used on RS suits. I've used them on over 50 builds!
  3. The goal of adhesives for beginners making armor is really broken down into ease of use. Having the proper tool to do the job is e-6000. it is removable, replaceable and very flexible and strong. Silicone also has smell during cure, it's always possible to insert parts into boxes and leave in the laundry area, garage, bathroom or other smell controlled area. Temp during cure should stay at 70d or so.
  4. I like the sewn on ESB Style myself!
  5. wonder how the scale is
  6. The rotation angle of the faceplate can only go so far before it makes an impact on how the neck opening works.
  7. The inside of the arm is used for the larger cuts and strip sizes.
  8. Some counters are actually brass, while others are aluminum coated with a yellow plating. Still others are tin. The outer box on the large eagle is brass, the outer box on small eagles is indeed brass, other versions with the plastic connection box have aluminum, or Tin casings. Some counters have small screws on the rear case, and some counters have no screws and use a press fit lip system on the rear case.
  9. Photos shown above can all be added to the reference. I own these. Shot personally. crop and tag with team logo. with credit tag line To Vern Beezer. discard or add as you wish. These Photos will also be added to my e-11 blaster resource on the web http://www.e-11blaster.com
  10. most of the measurements have been taken with a set of calipers. There certainly different slight measures in hengstler counters. Having owned most of the types, and even have sold one to a member of the team here, I'm sure that I've noted, and many can also note some slight differences, most of these being from the front box connection... if we break out the FISD references to all of the different types of counters out there it can become quite a project in and of itself!
  11. video is a very nice example of the actual sterling.
  12. isolating the mic is a great idea! I will also try it!
  13. ok now we bring out the pauldron jokes! Bwahhhaaaahahaha!
  14. screen accurate outward tilt! kneeheheheee!
  15. in the original strapping design there are 3 locations where the chest connects to the AB. This does not really allow you much rotation to turn the upper body while leaving the hips forward. movement is limited in rotational freedom, also bending down can be a problem. if you put 3 snap locations on the chest then you get the same result. Having 2 longer connections, like most do it allows you to bend down, and turn rotationally.
  16. want to see this with a actual call feature.
  17. where are photos?
  18. what make is the one on the right?
  19. The forearms should be trimmed without any pointed edges. just follow the natural angle. Cover strip should also follow the angle. I would use for sale sign plastic on the inside of the thighs, forearms and shins. Assemble the forearms one side at a time. you can use scissors or snips to trim with as well, you don't have to use a knife on everything. get some zap a gap glue, it will make things go very fast (use the zip kicker!) I use 2 C clamps and a strip of aluminum to box score and snap my cover strips. I usually start with the arm size first. then I use the remaining strip for a leg if I can. on a strip I cut one long arm strip, then I cut one long leg strip then you might be able to use the remaining scrap on that strip to do the inside of a leg. I also use white duct tape on the inside of an armor part to hold it together, then the outer strip I also tape down to keep it aligned. having clamps all along the cover strip is a must to get a flush fit.
  20. Maker of things actually has a smaller helmet.. this is a recaster. we don't approve of this seller.
  21. "maybe it's another drill" I do not buy into the americanized view of troop training, troops in star wars during EP 4 are not like an american joining the army. Stormtroopers at academy have to fight each other to the death in an arena. hardly a comparison can be drawn. more like the roman legion, where death itself is a reward. I will not subscribe to a lazy, or untrained troop cadre, in a harsh environment like the empire.
