  1. take a look at some real blaster builds in the reference. Or perhaps this
  2. I paint my tubes to match the helmet and AB button color.... why not go all the way!
  3. overpriced unmodified hasbro toy. I think you could paint one for less than 80 bucks? they retail about 30.00 way too many errors to list.
  4. send the parts to me and I'll put the front together. gotta pay credits for that.
  5. the leg parts are aligned from the top down always. you need at least 1" of width across the front. just cut some fore sale signs (larger size length. ) to 1" widths. so by adding inner strips. 1" wide this will help align everything. use white duct tape from the inside.
  6. by using tape the forms don't line up properly. Get some for sale sign plastic and glue it the one side on the inside of each part. Then cut your Finishing strips to 1" Thick for each thigh front. use the excess 1" part for the bicep cover strips cut down to 5/8" each thigh front should produce enough extra strip for both biceps. on the shins cut the strip 1" and use the excess for the forearms cut down to 5/8" The back of each leg can be from 1" to 1 1/2" wide strips. I use a long plywood strip 4' long, 2 c clamps and a 1" wide aluminum strip. The Clamps hold the aluminum strip down on the plastic. a box cutter ran 3 times firmly allows the score and snap method. I use pliars to hold the strip on the waste edge to bend, score and snap the strips. sand the edges and dull side of the strip wipe down before applying.
  7. You might be able to fit an TM large? or a WTF large.
  8. you can trim the back of the knee, and the back of the thigh. I wear wraps around my knees and elbows to help guard against pinching. armor bites are pretty normal! see the trooper on the left? rotate the thighs outwards, and shorten your bicep up higher. see how high up the biceps are in the film? most people here wear them too low.
  9. one word. awesome!
  10. no blood shed. no time wasted. people make it harder on themselves.
  11. Building is a personal challenge. a skill learned.
  12. I make a person measure every part needed from forehead to vertical measures. take photos adjust using my own body as a reference.

  16. TM created a large. and his sculpt is better.
  17. can someone ask to change the thread title? it's an honest question... but... This makes me ask you good sir. Who posted this honorable question... Why has there ever been a question of the reputation of RS anywhere?
  18. I'm sorry to post a negative review of the work presented via your link. Our best suggestion is to simply follow the suggested vendors via our Getting Started section. Fibreglass or rotocast plastic construction methods were not used in the original film, and the construction method is very important when considering an accurate representation of the originals used in the film. Here on the FISD we are proud to present the vendors on our vetted list of suppliers.
  19. 2 resin barrels please.
  20. Redforce on here is one of the top people in your area. mr paladino. tell him Vern sent you! he'll know what I mean!
  21. Spray paint, plasti dip spray... why don't people just take the advice I've been sharing for almost 5 years? ANGELUS LEATHER PAINT, and ANGELUS LEATHER SEALER are two products that make boot painting easy. ----------- http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/24742-trooper-boots-a-list-of-suitable-candidates/
  22. angelus leather paint works well... it's made to paint leather.
