  1. one has been discontinued!
  2. keep up the good work there brother!
  3. I like the way paul runs this house! in the beginning RS props underwent different ways of doing things... this shows that no matter how important a maker is to the hobby, they all must be around for a while before they get the Nod from the TOP.
  4. ok! now that's getting more and more like it!! I'll be saving up for one!
  5. it looks like we have a variation in holster types!
  6. I make the front of the sight rails on my doopy do e-11's by putting the front into the last top hole. I cut a notch for the full width of the 3/4" aluminum flat bar across the top last hole. then with the pvc inner barrel in place I seat the front of the sight rail against the inner barrel, inside the notch. this holds the sight rail in the horizontal axis though the notch, and on the vertical axis the rail presses against the inner barrel. then on the outside of the barrel shoud, I glue the sight rail edges of the notch that the rail is placed in, at the last top vent hole. ---------
  7. I can bend you a set. or you can get some of jesse's clips?
  8. you took the whole aluminum thing and folded it into an amazing work of art!
  9. sight rail perhaps a little bit low? smashing job there mate@! this is stellar!
  10. you can paint vynal, leather and such with Angelus paints. then seal with clear gloss... even paints nylon elastic? -------- wont crack, scratch off. you have to prep the surface with prep, paint on, then seal.
  11. there are miniature helmets that troopers have done? look at this! LEFT full RIGHT mini here
  12. if you look at the luke promo shot, it's thinner bump textured jacket leather. but on troopers it's different!~ trooper holsters like paul mentions require a thicker 5-7oz strapping/ chap grade leather for saddlebags and such. the main reason why I use 2 different kinds of leather is because of the luke promo shot, and comparisons to the thicker version on troopers. I think that paul tm most likely can produce the best looking holster.
  13. part 6 is what slides into the barrel shroud. it is a rounded and beveled hook with flanges that the photo does no justice to. the drawings and photographs also don't clearly show the bevels and bent contours on the butt cap. they make it look a lot flatter than it actually is.
  14. order the doopy do's hengstler box from the bay. it's faster!
  15. wow~! now fill the 38 in and re sculpt a 19. just kidding! amazing job!
  16. thanks rich... and I've been watching all your builds with interest! good luck in your search. I think that this photo gives a clear indication of how a real sterling looks in one of my baby's... ------------ priceless!
  17. Let's start out by explaining that the rear end cap moves forward and backwards depending upon the position of the lock on the bottom. the rear end cap uses the recoil spring to hold the stock in the rear locked position and a combination of the moving position of the end cap itself. at the front end of the muzzle the sliding lock moves forward and backwards, depending upon the position of the butt cap. inside the folding stock main tube, a spring pulls the butt cap towards the "stowed" or front position. here is a photo from the "guns of dagenham" showing a folding stock layout of the internals for a folding stock. take note that the folding stock design shown is not the exact profile of the l2a3. it's a version showing a thicker model with some changes. this photo from the book shows how the top version is improved over earlier versions. the TOP one is the correct version for a e-11 top version is correct.
  18. I would go with type A strap, and the long version of the snap tab.
  19. you could also go with TM armor as it's a little longer in the legs? RT mod is also cool because you can provide him with measurements and get larger legs and such...
  20. I see rivet washers on the sniper knee shin area - even though it's missing! interesting to note the ROTJ abdomen, non split butt/kidney. rotated ab buttons ROTJ style. also looks to be assembled in the overlap fashion, instead of the butt join method.
  21. if you wanted to look at more photos? here's my first suggestion for a TKC lightsabre link HERE ok troops! let's see some more examples? is this design passable for centurion TKC? here's a couple more sources: link HERE jk-sabres red: blue green they even have purple. and HERE for lightsabre archives and screenshots
  22. false armor legs, and stilts?
  23. does the folding stock pin slide back and forth at the front lock when you open and close the buttplate? does the rear end cap push in to unlock, and pull out to lock into the folding stock lugs? I'll bet you could rig a cap setup with a switch and some batteries. that blaster is so nice looking I'll send you a free thick sterling holster for it. PM me for details on replacing your other holster you purchased. you'll need the thicker leather!
