  1. Welcome tot the FISD Robin, looks like you've been given some great advice so far. Look forward to your build
  2. As Glen mentioned your height is going to be a factor, Besides buying larger armor you can try installing a harness that extends over your shoulders and connects to the Ab and Kidney. With it you can pull up the lower sections so that all the upper sections aren't as strained trying to support everything. Note this may cause the lower Ab (cod) and posterior to ride higher in your crotch and butt but at least you won't have the visible gaps at eye level. Worth a shot Other than that the armor is looking great.
  3. Amazing how shiny the armor is once you've pulled off the protective layer
  4. Welcome Joe, looking forward toy our build
  5. What also works really well is the 3M Headlight Restoration kit (Home depot or Amazon for under $20). Using a cordless or corded drill take the kit supplied buffing pad and liquid polish and buff your cover strip area, and the rest of the armor. Regardless what you use slow polishing works best, prevents plastic melting as mentioned above.
  6. Yes! an FOTK build. Great to see another in the works
  7. Hey Phil welcome and glad to see your kit completed and you 501st approved. On another note, Beta kit owner here. Those were some crazy times
  8. Looking good David, trim if you need to for movement
  9. Replace the elastic connecting straps with nylon webbing. Also tighten/shorten the Cod to Posterior connection.
  10. Very nice work on this pack so far
  11. Congratulations Alexander, welcome to the family
  12. Looks good. To help out even more with those stubborn areas use nylon webbing instead of elastic, if you haven't done so already.
