  1. And the debate continues lol
  2. Yeaaaa, I'm not buying that excuse.
  3. That will work yes. Not necessarily for flexibility but more to eliminate the square edge from digging into your ribs and waist.
  4. Thanks for the Kudos brother. Like you I learned from those who came before me. This is a great community with many talented members. Keep up the great work
  5. Welcome Don, looking forward to your build progress
  6. Late for the party I see lol. Looks like Paul has got you covered.
  7. Looking forward to your build Jerred
  8. Thanks for answering this Joseph I'm one of those taller troopers that can get away with wearing the TD and backpack simultaneously, but I don't.
  9. Looking great Jodi. Looks like you've been given some great advice so far. Looking forward to seeing you with a EI badge.
  10. "To make the material more flushed, wheat grit sand paper should I use and what’s a good finishing grit? should I add a return edge to match kidney and Ab? " 400 grit and higher. Finishing 1200. Return edge is not required. I personally would reduce the kidney return edge as you get closer to the extension. Keep up the great work
  11. I sell 6-x3/8 with my brackets. Still a little larger than movie accurate but close enough for government work. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Slotted-pan-Head-Sheet-Metal-Tapping-Screw-Stainless-Steel-6X3-8-Qty-100/261584094669?ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT&_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649
  12. I use the iComm with the audio systems I sell also. Though not quite as loud as the Tramp everything is contained in the helmet which makes it convenient. Here's my sales page and website. 13. Hey Derek glad to hear you're enjoying your TK journey. HWT is a small group of elite troopers and were looking forward to seeing added to the ranks. Let us know if there's anything we can do to help you get there.
  14. Congratulations Michael welcome to the legion
  15. Looking great Jennifer. Good luck with your L3 application. See you on the other side
  16. My pleasure. The SHA operates best with it's own battery. Most fans by design create PWM noise that can effect the SHA output causing a whining noise in the speakers/headset. Something you might want to test before installing.
  17. Congratulations and fantastic job on the build
  18. Hey Andy, there are a few places you can mount the mics. 1. If you're not using any type of audio system or cooling fans you can place them behind the frown. 2. With audio or cooling place the mics near the lower "S" seal of the helmet, left and right sides aimed towards your neck. And famously behind the ears but requires a little work. Hope this helps
