  1. Now is that the nozzle piece or the pipe diameter?
  2. lol I was thinking those pieces might be perfect for some lady bounty hunter armor, like how (don't kill me) The Clone Wars show had variations on Mando armor for women. I agree that at first glance (and especially compared to canon trooper armor) it looks too sexy, but nobody said there couldn't be a baggy (not-spandex) body suit underneath. I would personally avoid too much plastic "cleavage" just for the sake of cohesion between all the SW armors (there's Jabba's court, but those are made of soft goods, not armor pieces) but again, maybe after they're painted up they could be used for female generic bounty hunter costumes (thinking of Zam Wesell's armor)
  3. I want to surprise my gf with a costume for her bday this fall. Was thinking another Anovos order, but maybe we need more Legacy ladies! Looks great in person, you two did great jobs.
  4. Everything is gut-able! Not too much real estate required to fit that bad boy in even the smaller-scaled lids like my ATA. Good find
  5. Okay I couldn't find them at downtown Disney, but could in the Disney store at my local mall! The activation button is the right ear bumps, so I'm assuming the voice changer is PTT with that button activating the clicks when you first push and let go. I'll open it up (all the way!) later today. Can't wait to play around with this and my respirator mask. Gonna be zoppity. The voice changer only clicks after you release the button, and doesn't sound amazing but it's loud enough to work in the field and I love the ANH quotes. Too bad there's no rhyme or reason to which clip plays; they're all really appropriate for certain instances like mr no stripes saying to inform lord Vader after you stun-mode some kids
  6. Ha yeah there's the schism in thought process. Are all TKs always the same or are there different manufacturers of the suits throughout the timeline? I like that answer and that each trooper gets scanned and everyone's suits are a uniform thickness. The designated user's body morphology is the reason for the shape variances. Luke stole a fatty's bucket. They're all lazy on the Death Star anyhow, talking about T-38s and drills... Perfect for any Imperial😄
  7. I'm a tall one, so most folks will be looking up at my brow like yours is to the camera. I think that's all it is, the height of the observer
  8. Nice work. Looks a lot like the originals. Perfect for a hero
  9. It comes with instructions. Plus all the other folks all building around the same time to help, not to mention the other brands' build threads... You can do it! Or send me $850 and I'll build it for you! 😅Jk but srsly I'm sure this will be lots of people's first builds. Trust in the force
  10. Hopefully, depending on what the parts are. I'm guessing: battery pack, wires, circuit board, wires, speakers and 2-option switch which may be on/off or the quotes/changer control. I'm assuming there's room for the "guts" even in a smaller ATA. Lots of cavities and such
  11. Did you happen to try the voice changing mode? I wonder if it clicks/pops like an icomm
  12. I'm tempted to shoot down and buy one lol. I love that it comes with 15 phrases, they sound surprisingly good on Youtube videos. Not sure about the voice changer yet, maybe the mic could be swapped for a better sounding one. Looks like it just unscrews and pops open.
  13. You're fine. The hole is to prevent that corner from cracking, not for your ear screws. The ear holes go where the two bumps are inside the round part of the cut. And yeah you cut the brow to fit snugly, but do that later once it's assembled
  14. Lenses are screws, but I think everything else is glue and plastic tabs. I think it's a 3 piece helmet (face, cap, back), so you might want to cut it in half with a power saw unless you'd like to be able to reassemble it afterwards.
  15. Great idea and execution. I'll use this for adding height rather than girth
  16. That honestly might have to change once someone compares them to the real deal. After I finish modding and painting mine (shouldn't be too long) we'll be able to see exactly where they had to make consessions to fit the electronics. I can tell the front sight, magazine and end cap and pipe are small, for example. It's really not a Hasbro derivative as far as the design goes. Level one is just any old Sterling "replica". EIB requires you to drill the missing open row of barrel holes and have all the parts but you can rock a doopy mod. Centurion needs a more accurate replica though, no hasbros
  17. I think he sells from full sets all the way down to the individual pieces (replacements), with a small discount if you get everything. I got a single ATA stunt full DIY kit (2nd is Anovos) but my armor still hasn't come (takes however long it takes!) You'd just be getting (and paying for) the helmet kit for now and get on the waiting list for your armor kit. (At least that's what he told me like last June or so. Shoot him an email if you want current specifics)
  18. Hey Tcromb: ATA helmets are usually no wait and relatively inexpensive with the full DIY kit. I got my lid last year and I'm towards the top of the list for armor now, owing about the same as Anovos with shipping since you only pay ATA when your stuff ships. That means I'm getting two full sets plus another bucket and soft goods for around $750 out of pocket this year. Just saying there are ways to stretch out the immense intro cost😜
  19. They told me they're out of stock and trying to relocate etc. and didn't have an estimate for when more will be available. Bad news for everyone! "Take my money!" right?😄
  20. I was able to fit my big head into an eFX lid with a moto helmet liner AND a size large respirator. I doubt it'll fit in my ATA only cause they're smaller. I bet a small head and a small respirator could fit. I'm gonna hook up the in-valves to the mic tips and let the out go into the helmet (if I can fit my echo fan bracket in too!) The ear vent idea makes sense considering almost everyone has SOME gap. The vents could be like gills in the face/cap, hidden by the ears
  21. Compared to other buckets (especially the new Anovos TK) I've decided that my ears look fine. Looks like my rear traps might go too far over the lower ridge according to starwarshelmets.com. I was following my Dave M templates so who knows how I managed to mess it up, lol
  22. It's been a while! Couldn't resist starting to paint it. Everything needs to be touched up with a toothpick and thinner, but it's just the first coat of grey. Right side of the frown looks pretty good for ANH imho: Left side needs a tiny bit more white, eh?:
  23. Yeah, it's usually better to order directly from his website (trooperbay.com) than deal with crazy eBay nonsense
  24. I'm 6'4" and getting the kit. I assume it'd be the same process as getting other makers to fit. It can probably be done and if not we can sell it I guess lol
  25. That's a pretty penny! You could just gut a Disney gun and have the blast/stun effects with no vibration (would a laser emitter even have recoil?) and one light per color for way cheaper
