  1. The mod podge definitely helps with the cardboard radio. Its not stiff like an aluminum box but it did help some. I glued the radio details on today, got the cap and bottle cap on top of the filter today as well. Vents are dry from paint, just need to glue them down, but i ran out of super glue. Still need to glue the tupperware tops on and begin getting ready for assembly. Now im debating whether or not i shohld use sheet metal or drywall screws to attach the boxes, or to glue machine screws inside the tupperware lid, and attach them via nuts and washers. Id like the boxes to be removeable in the event i decide to replace any of them.
  2. I just ordered some 5v fans to replace my 12v set ups. Will likely test out the Eneloops AAs i hvae handy go see how long they will last before commiting to a power bank. The fans i ordered are rated at 6 CFM at 5600 RPM. 50x40x10mm
  3. Interesting..i am trying to avoid running wires down from my helmet though. Trying out a throat mic now actually lol
  4. After looking at that link, and hearing from you. I think i can pick one or two of those up safely. I just need to replace my current 12v fans with 5v fans
  5. Ive been eyeballing the Anker 3350 mAh powerbank due to its lipstick sized nature, would most likely fit in the tubes a lot easier. Im skeptical to try another brand other then Anker as they have a very good reputation :/
  6. Do you have any physical pictures of the set up laid out like your schematic?
  7. Ive been looking at doing this, but am unsure if anything beside a lipstick sized power bank or 2 would fit in my AP bucket
  8. Looking at mounting the pouch to my back pack strapping. I did not like how permanent mounting the pouch go the pauldron was, and would like to have the option to wear the paiuldron with my TK
  9. Nasi Lemak, Nasi Goreng. I could go on lol! Now im hungry!
  10. Lets begin! Heres the Bavarian Autosport 16 qt oil change pan i ordered. I ordered my canvas MP-40 Ammo pouches, stuffed em with some foam, and spray painted them black. I did mask off the buttons and the leather straps on the back. I know dying is probably the way to go, but spray painting them was just too hard to pass up This is the spray paint I used, after they dried, they were nice and black, and any inefficiencies I had on them just gave it a weathered look, so double win Then my pauldron showed up! For the backpack, I am utilizing Ukswrath's How To, advice from JustJoseph, Templars build, and various bits from other builds. Ordered the PopIt! tupperware from Tonys build, and here is an initial test fit on the oil pan before I modified the boxes. Found some cups at Goodwill for under $1 for the pair to use for the filter on the bottom right of the backpack. For the radio, I used a cardboard Photo Storage box, per Tonys dimensions, i cut the box down to 2" in thickness, and glued the top onto the box. After the top was glued down, i began coating the cardboard with Matte finish Mod Podge. This helps strengthen and weatherproof the cardboard. Applies white, but dries clear. I used a foam brush to spread it on. It also gives the box a nice little bit of texture, which i will sand down before assembling the details on the radio. I used $0.88 sticky back floor tiles for most of the detailed features on the boxes. Also used "No Parking" sign styrene for some, and sintra as well. Heres the radio detail test fit. By the way, mod podge caps make perfect radio dials! And here are the rest of my components so far, again with a rough test fit. Here I am primering and spraying the details grey And the paint i used Heres a test fit of my "button panel." I used 4 3/4" furniture end caps as my buttons, but may sand down the lengths a hair. Thats where I am at so far! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Thanks yall. Once i can ohysically get to a computer, ill post some pictures. When i try to do it over my phone it never works out correctly anymore and is a jumbled mess.
  12. I am a trooper of many buckets! Lol. Heres another fun fact, i LOVE Milo and i LOVE Roti Canai! Unfortunately there is only 1 Malaysian restaurant here in Houston, and its a 1 hour drive, so i learned to make my own Roti Canai with Malaysian curry chicken. After all, I am half Indonesian, so we are all basically related! Lol
  13. Hi there FISD! Im back to a build thread, if ya haven't figured that part out just yet . Ive been slowly working on a Heavy Weapons Trooper add on kit for my centurion approved TK armor. The goal here is to finally bestow what I originally wanted to join the Legion in. Currently I am about half way done with my HWT pack, already have my orange pauldron, and have already acquired and painted my MP-40 ammo pouches. I will be focusing more on the pack here, but will also spread the love of whatever else I can try to throw into this thread. Pictures soon to come!
  14. Apa kabar! I actually went to High School for 9th and 10th grade in Penang, Malaysia at the International School of Penang and visited KL quite a bit . You are in the right spot and have access to TONS of info here. Don't hesitate to ask for help!
  15. Great idea to add to the effect of trooping! This would indeed come in handy for various numbers of troops.
  16. For $195 they were a steal and the extra amount of work was worth it. But as stated above, you should have had a fully finished DLT for $350. Ive seen their work up close and personal, and they do a damn fine job, but there were flaws. I was going to buy one, but saw their pricing jumped up so i backed off
  17. Ive heard dying it will start rubbing off on your armor though? This is according to a source, not from personal experience obviously
  18. What has worked best for YOU? Ive talked to a few members that have pointed me towards spray painting ammo pouches black, and just masking off the buttons...and i already have the spray paint handy....and also dye for another project.....but what say YOU?
  19. Joseph, Just wanted to copy and paste this here as well for those curious on sizing, as the measurements are a little off compared to the diagram. From what I have gathered from other troopers, and from my own experiences: -Smaller sizes up to a size Medium will fit true to their size. -Sizes Large and Up will fit small, so get the next size up from what you would normally wear!(Example: On average I wear a size XL tee shirt, so I would need a size 2-XL Racing Shirt)

  21. In light of Battlefront introducing an alternate "Shock Trooper", perhaps we should have the patch redesigned to reflect/honor this alternate. I am interested in a HWT patch once I get mine finished up and approved. Just some food for thought, what do yall think?
  22. It always helps to have the boots on when trimming shins to size. That is really the best thing you can do to avoid a situation like this. I just tuck mine in slightly, or you can try the heat gun to reshape them.
  23. Sons birthday day, daughters birthday day, and the year my wife and i got serious
