SpiceCredits ANH Stunt Build Thread [AP]
fuumantroop replied to SpiceCredits's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
Hmm, yeah even with ABS paste that will still be a mess to tackle. Was thinking you meant on the actual buttons, not the plate behind them. -
Rustoleum flat black spray paint is what i used. No flaking, no rubbing off, easy application, and not as messy at all

Have a picture of what you are describing? -
I have had my helmet for a little over a year now as well
-
Hmm...i did the plastidip and cheesecloth method on my helmet interior, and then placed velcro inside to hold my MICH pads in, and have had zero problem with it peeling at all. Then again, i do not take my pads out unless I absolutely have to for cleaning. If it does end up peeling, it would not be hard for me to just touch it up real quick.

Great work! Oh and to help from your sniper knee catching under your thigh, you can put some foam in the inside of your thigh armor on the back side, this will keep the front of your thigh right on the front of your leg. Then, another piece of foam, and install it inside the front of your shin, this will help push that sbiper knee out a little more as well. Just a friendly tip it has surely helped me out lol

Hey Steve! Great to have ya on board with Star Garrison! You have an excellent Squad up in NTX that will take care of ya! Now get to troopin! And congratulations! -
Thanks all! And no not exactly "full time" hwt lol. Only when I can. It will help bring variety when we have an influx of ANH tks at troops down here as well. Thanks Joseph for the advice! I used a metallic silver to dry brush weathering on, but it may have been just too subtle. I recently(late last night) found my testors "flat aluminum" paint again after cleaning my craft room, so i will most definitely be adding onto it. I didn't want to over do it just yet, but I do agree that the pack could use some more, thanks for the weathering tips and all of your time and patience in aiding me with the build! Troopers helping troopers at its finest!

So....orange?? If you go TD and plan on achieving Swat, you need orange. I like the way black looks though too lol -
Id say keep it within a half inch or so and its good to go

Thanks! Response back from the GML is I need to remove the "grenade pouch" from my shoulder mounted ammo pouch, also had some discoloration in my pictures that made my grey areas of my pack look blue, and handguards look yellow. I used my latex handguards that are glued to my rubber gloves..so basicaly i just need to find better lighting and set up my camera better....part of the issue was, and no dogging on my wife(my photographer)), was that she pressed a wrong button and it turned on a filter on my camera and made my flash also act funky, so it kind of colored some areas that it shouldn't have. I realized it after undressing, and by then she was already out and about so there was no chance to retake pictures. Will try it again today or tomorrow and hopefully things go smoother(i need to get better quality pictures anyways for EIB/Centurion applications). I don't understand why the grenade pouch needs to be removed, but thats what the boss wants.
