I thought the bubble lenses were green tinted. There are some sceens where you can see them and they look green. Just my 2 cents. Thanks for all the nice info.

I've always scored it nice and slow with an exacto then bend and snap. Dremmel for touch ups only. Sand the edge smooth.

Funny how different people have different opinions. I was asked to come visit a school last year at the end of the year. I went as vader with my light saber and joining me was a tk with blaster and a TB with blaster. The priciple had his picture taken with us and everything. He loved it! The teachers loved it too. Do i even have to say that the kids loved it? The guy's a ding dong.

Better yet............. does anyone have a picture of the actual microphone? Has it ever been prooven that it's a microphone tip? If so, what type of recording devices was this mic commonly used in conjuction with? What other "gear" was produced by the same munufacturer back in the day?

I'm not sure? I contacted a bloodfin events coordinator and gave him all the info and the person to cantact at the library back in June and posted several times since to see if this would become a 501st event.

I'm going fir sure. Not as 501st ,that's why i posted in this NCO section and added "just for the heck of it". I have a tk and biker that i will lend out if need be. And i'll go as Vader.

Hey there. On Sept 27 from 9 -1 here in terre haute , Indiana there is a family learning day downtown put on by the local library. My mom works there and has been trying to get me to get some troopers to come. The library orderd some star wars books to give away too. My locaol garrison hasn't shown much interst in this. Only a few troopers have shown interest. I'm wondering if anybody here would want to come just for the heck of it?

Just wanted to mention that this book STAR WARS: THE ULTIMATE VISUAL GUIDE(the 30th anniv edition 144 pages version) has an article toward the back of the book about the 501st and some cool pics of 501s costumers. I saw one at toys R us a while back and ended up getting one cheaper off feepay. I think there's a version of the book that is shorter that does not have the article..... i could be wrong about that though. Just food for thought.

I have one of the shinyseals. It very good quality. It's not completely screen accuarte though. An accurate seal will run you about $60-$70 if you can find someone to make one for you. --------- I have one of these too and it's top notch!

I work in a plastics factory as a machine operator I'm a proud Union laborer. I'm a safety steward. I'm on the company safety team as well as emergency managment team. We are required to wear steel toe shoes or boots. We can wear what ever close we want to. I'm the lead singer and one of 2 guitarist in a band and what i wear depends on where we play.

I used a retractable keychain that reaches for enough for showing off and twirrling the grappling hook around, but not enough to swing accros the death star. Luke will be in for a supprise if he steals my belt ------ I used a standard toggle switch and a washer for the wire grommet and painted them black. I also rivitted the "holster ring" on before gluing the strip of plastic on. My canvas belt is being modified or i would have had it in the pics. FYI: VacTrooper said he would make up some more box's if anyone is interested. The box will need to be painted glossy white to match your armor.

So, here is what i've come with using EVO3's grappling hook and VacTrooper's utility box.

So there's no switch on lukes stolen TK belt ? Not exactly................. Later after escaping the Death Star when Luke climbs down the latter in the Faclon durring the Tie Fighter attack the switch can be seen again and you can also see the grommet where the wire comes out. --------

After Luke discards the armor and is wearing just the tk's belt, the toggle switch is no longer there. ---------

After Luke steals the tk armor, you can see the switch is still there in the trash compactor scene. The grappling hook itself is missing. ---------
