  1. Nice call. . . . . I'll have to make a seperate helmet with no stipes when carrying my DLT-19
  2. Nice....... is that a hyperfirm?
  3. GINO:quoted It's nice. Nice and idealized, re-worked and over-sharpened. What happened to all the warts that are supposed to be there? That detail in the teardrops is NOT how it looks on the film helmets. I'm the only one with a faceplate mold that has those tear details intact. I know because I was there when it was removed from the molds sent back to matt. Pretty smart huh? I have to hand it to my partner at the time to remove that tear detail as well as "adjust" the other surface details to a point where you could never achieve a screen accurate pull. Makes it easy to spot recasts. It was genius of him. We've NEVER offered up a helmet with the tear details present and for good reason. This is what i was refering to when i was asking on my earlier post. I just never knew about the tear details before reading these posts.
  4. The laws helmet looks nice but why add the tear detail and NOT the other bumps???? And i'm wondering when this tear/trap detail was taken out on purpose by the caster if it was a known fact the detail had been taken out by the people who purchased helmets from this mold or if they thought they were geting all the details of a screen used helmet? Just wondering?
  5. And how do I get a couple sets of these bad boys? I've been trying to get ahold Keith for a while now.
  6. Sweet armor. Looking really good!
  7. Weird.......... i was just thinking about this too and never saw this thread B4. I have 3 different styles of tips. One set i got back in 2002 or 2003 and are a tad bigger than stompers. I got another set this year that are a tad smaller than stompers. The detaing of stompers is the best of the 3 styles i have..
  8. That's the one i was lookin' for. Thanks!
  9. Looking for link for turning black boots white. I know i've seen a great how to thread. I'm sure was on this forum, but i can't seem to find it anywere.
  10. Several troopers are using "aftermarket" heavy canvas belts. There are a few people that make these custome fit here on the boards.
  11. 1. How is the "s" trim applied to the original ANH helmets? 2. Do the stunt and hero differ in trim? 3. Can someone please post a pic of how it goes on the helmet? 4. THANK YOU!
  12. You should "lightly" sand and primer to prevent flaking. It will help by making a "bond". Plenty of info on that arround here. For those who are going to use an "airgun" to paint with, i would suggest adding a flexorizer to the paint to prevent cracking of the paint if the armor was to bend while dressing up and trooping.
  13. Nice work so far. Keep it up!
  14. Looking good. Very nicely done!
  15. That's Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrreat news man. Nice to know things are getting better for you guys! Still pullin for ya here.
  16. Some TK troopers did not have drop box's in ANH.
  17. Tray that looks good man. OT: supertroopers pic .. what's up with the thermal detinator attachment? those white strips? and thanks for the pic oblagon.
  18. Anyone have close pics of the back of the sceen used anh suites?
  19. The strip looks prettty skinny on the promo trooper's arms. I'm just going to cut the "molded in strips" completely off and leave the back ones on for now. More than words..........Thanks for the help guys.
  20. so do you trim the arm so they do or do not overlap? or should completely cut that overlapping section off so there's no "bump" under the strip? ..................and are the strips on the back side too? I think i get it. the mold was cast over the strip. So i should cut the "molded strip" off and glue it back on ?
  21. Do the amrs have added ABS strips on the ANH hero or stunt?
  22. It almost doesn't look like an added strip. Does anyone have a better picture of the quad? it's hard to tell from that pic. the left side looks like its part of the outer armor.
  23. This is a great visual mod to the fx armor. If i wasn't so partial to the fx "look" i would do this.
  24. What we have here today ladies and gentalmen is a .03 styrene recast of a TE helmet worth about 50 cent
  25. Way cool man! using a dremil is so intense when cutting out all that plastic. Great job so far!
