Obsolete - CRL ANH Stunt Stormtrooper text
tk0000 replied to SuperTrooper's topic in ANH (Stunt and Hero)
Nice info.............. I believe the ANH hero lids have "dark green" bubble lenses. There's a few scenes in the movie where you can see this. You might want to add the ANH E-11 should have the H-counter (for BIG O' "E" status). ...........................just my 2 cents. Please don't be offended. -
That looks so fun!!!
-
Thanks. It's the same lid as in my avitar. I'm thinking of making silicon hand pieces from these molds for myself (not to sell as recasts). Unless the ones that were available B4 Bcome available again.

AP arrived today! Yeah! The white is very close to my Hero bucket. Took a pic for comparison. The AP will be for my Hero all ABS suit. Going for the promo/chronicals look. TE2 for death star stunt. Older FX converting to sandtrooper (maybe).

I rented a ford focus this week and was getting 41 MPG driving through the mountains from Los Vegas, Nevada to Kanab, Utah. Gas was 4.24/gallon. Here in Indiana it is 3.94 in Indianapolis .....to 4.09 in Terre Haute today. I get about 25/MPG in my Mazda 929, 22/MPG in my Jeep Wrangler and 50+MPG on my Handa CBR600 (motorcycle).

Dang. I've been on vacation in vegas. Hope it not too late to get in on one of these!!! i will trade you a smashed up biker scout for one of these!

Hang in there. Wishing you both well!

After trimming. before assembly and tape off parts that will be glued together. I painted my biker scout in 2001 and is now yellowing. My 2000 ABS (non painted) TK fx is starting to yellow as well. I'll turn it into sand trooper or sell it. I'll prob repaint biker scout. I had ABS plastic motor cycle body kit painted in 2003 for $250 and it looks the same as it did the day i got it back from the shop (even the white parts) I leave it parked outside except in the winter. Even then its got a cheap cover in the unheated garage. That leads me to think about getting the armor painted professionally. It would be worth the exra money for the peace of mind when on an accurate set of armor. Yellowing makes my toes curl up.

That is making my mouth water

I would paint the abbs buttons personally. One of them is smaller than the rest. Someone had a very nice tutorial using liquid laytex over buttons or stickers, remove buttons, paint, remove laytex. presto. I'm really considering taking mine to an auto body shop to have the white painted and sealed to prevent yellowing a few years down the road. I'll paint the details myself depending on what the decals look like.................if it even comes with decals that is?

Very nice work. It really does look like a stormtooper . . . . . I mean that it looks more accurate to the screen used stormtrooper.

Just remember he hero bubble eyes are green too.

PM me if you have something you can donate or contribute. I'll star working on a master CD Thanks.

Is there a reference cd circulating for the stormtroopers in ANH? If not can we pull our recources and make one? We did this at The Dented Helmet about 6 years ago for boba fett and made a tree to pass these along. I know there is a sandtrooper reference cd from Braks but I'm more interest in the recreating a screen accurate stormtrooper or 2 ........hero and stunt version. Because of all the various pics floating arround It would be nice if these were compiled on a dvd or cd. I would love to see high res screen caps, behind the sceen pics, LFL displays from celebrations, Any and all ANH stormtrooper including the shoes and what brand they are. what color paint was used on any part. what was the trim on the helmet(extruded by SDS) , info on H counter's, GRAPPLING HOOK etc. etc. etc Aslo would like to see pics of the weapons the stortroopers used. Would like to break this down into 3 catagories 1. Stunt 2. Hero 3. weapons HAS THIS BEEN DONE OR IS ANYBODY INTERESTED? PM me if you have something to contribute/donate. I'll start working on a master CD/DVD
