  1. Hi Kian, and welcome to FISD. As mentioned, Stormtrooper armour is made from rigid plastic, or fibre glass and not flexible enough to bend or conform to a shape so you can sit down in it, I'm sorry. Unlike the armour you see on screen for First order where parts are injection molded Urethane which is thick, dense and far more flexible. The Tread speeder trooper, due to its soft parts, totally allows for sitting, and is a combination of First Order armour parts.
  2. As Chris mentioned, Anovos, yes, either took years or didn't deliver. DN is the new company that took control of what Anovos had and was, and made good with many of those outstanding orders. They have proved that they can deliver without massive delays. The quality seems to be good, and many are very satisfied with their level of service. Check in the First order battle group section for other vendors who you can reach out to and ask questions directly about their turn around times and products. We do update this list when we get sufficient positive feedback from members. This section has loads of info and fantastic threads to support you.
  3. The kits are good, but as Glen has pointed out, there are some mode you require to meet 501st approval. TFA Anovos or DN helmets are fine for TFA Forearms need some mods as not accurate for TFA Side seams and shoulder bridge seems will need to be filled as they have obvious joins that don't exist on the original costumes These are the main focus points, but there are a few more lesser items you can make more accurate if you intend to go for Detachment based, higher levels of accuracy. Other kit makers also have some inaccuracies that you would need to modify, so there isn't really an out-of-the-box solution that doesn't require work. Definitley look through some build threads and keep doing your research. Soon enough, you will start to see the difference. Also check out our gallery section for screenshots and screen used armour images. Welcome to FISD, and we look forward to watching your journey to 501st approval
  4. Congratulations Rob!!
  5. After 10 years of trooping, the Velcro on the back of my shins has started to come unstuck. Time to replace it with new Velcro. It's worked a charm.
  6. Hi Alex, think we answered this one over on your other post
  7. Welcome to FISD Alex. As you can see, we are here to assist you on your journey to becoming a 501st approved TK. Ask plenty of questions and advice will come. Definitely don't need that much return edge on the arm openings of the chest plate. I have around 6mm at most on mine. Ss to the bottom return on the backplate and the chest plate, you may want to keep a little more if you plan to strap it like the originals with nuts and bolts and piano wire brackets for the elastic straps. Basically, the return edge gives the appearance of thicker armour pieces, but in some cases all return edge should be removed like the wrist end of the forearms. This is of course an accuracy trait of the originals and forms part of the requirement on the higher levels of approval you can obtain. Best of luck with your build, and we look forward to seeing progress photos.
  8. Welcome, Alice, will be good to see another Artillery trooper approved. Looking forward to seeing more progress photos
  9. Luckily, E6000 doesn't set hard like CA glue. It remains slightly elastic, so you should be able to slowly prize them off. Take your time and start by removing any of the excess glue you may have along the sides of the cover strips. Start at one end and see if you can get something under the cover and between the bicep halves, and work your way down the length. A sharp blade will assist in cutting the E6000 and your result should be fine. Many have needed to do this over the years, be it to resize or realign parts with covers strips.
  10. I have used Power BI for several years. It is a reporting tool and dependent on the iteration, allows you to drill down into sales figures and products to see volume of sales and sales data. Market share, % you can graph it etc etc. Basically, you can place information into it via adjusting tabs or checking boxes to find particular information. A business will build a framework and populated with all their available data, which then allows you to extract specifics to learn what is working or what isn't, prompt you to ask question why those results are the way they are with a client, and ultimately form a picture and baseline for you to gain momentum with or better understand a business.
  11. These are from Celebration, found in a couple of FB groups. Looks like Enoch could have a new weapon in the upcoming season of Ahsoka Story boards and a screen grab.
  12. Re-writing history for the Snowtrooper detachment!! What a Snowy looks like under the face cape. You actually see one attaching his.
  13. It still amazes me that the CTD didn't want this back when I was discussing with them, so we decided to give support and an albeit possible temporary home. They weren't interested in spending any energy on it at all to my surprise. This may have changed now so Chris @themaninthesuitcase could certainly strike up a conversation with their current DL to see if that stance has changed.
  14. Welcome to FISD Sam, and congratulations on your approval.
  15. Thanks for taking the time to look for it. Definitely a missed opportunity for them and for the fans. There were some great displays at celebration Orland, not just of newer costumes, but also originals from the prop store like Leia's original Tantiv dress, original Sand trooper helmets etc.
  16. Chris, if you need some help cutting images from their backgrounds, send some to me, I'm happy to assist. Can also composition the ones that need to reflect the layouts we have across our CRL's.
  17. Welcome aboard Dimitris!!
  18. They didn't do a great job of cutting the background, but the helmet looks good if it is images of what they are making.
  19. I think the wording must be based on Non saga can't, be used in general on say one of the weathered R1 TK's because 501st members were in scenes with OT armour Non saga episodes of other series. I think you still need to add the words In "Rouge 1" Non saga for total clarity.
  20. Shoulder straps, def no visible Kintsugi but yes gray and also with red wraps. As to the eyes, yes, definitely will be included with both living and reanimated version and also the fact the eyes are obscured or not seen when in the reanimated mode green light's on. I remember writing those lines or very similar, and it's in one of the threads. I may have also already added it to the wiki doc I was building the CRL on, but those are currently being transformed into a new format. Kintsugi on armour pieces will be Gold paint for basic and i think EI, and then to gold leaf for Centurion. That can be artificial gold leaf, of course.
  21. That's pretty much all we need. A member who wants that dirtied up battle worn look, and we can bring a CRL full circle. Legion first, anyone??
  22. Excellent work!
  23. Ciao Antonio, welcome to FISD!
  24. Welcome aboard Mark! Research is your friend in this hobby, but we are also here to assist in every way we can. Ask plenty of questions.
