  1. That never occurred to me - thank you very much, you're the man!
  2. Hey guys, any updates on starwarshelmets.com? I've been unable to access it these past few days, and its been driving me crazy!
  3. Roger that @Sly11! After reviewing @justjoseph63 's absolutely incredible "return edges 101", I've concluded that there is no true "screen accurate" return edge, simply due to the variety that we see amongst the troopers in the original films :) Would it be appropriate to reach out to my local GML to get their thoughts? Thanks for your help mate, -Alex
  4. Hey @SLy11, definitely! Just wanted to make sure it passes the "eye test" ;)
  5. Hey there! Just wanted to get some opinions on the return edges I plan on trimming onto the back and chest plate of my ATA kit. Since these pieces are some of the most important on a TK suit, I'd like to make sure they look great! For the chest plate I have traced out two potential cutting areas: the above one would result in a 5mm return edge, and the below area follows what seems to be a molded line on this piece. For the back plate, I traced the edge of the mold before it curves down significantly. Thank you all for your guidance in advance!
  6. Thank you, @Shanester ! Happy to be here!
  7. Excellent pics, thank you, @gmrhodes13!!
  8. Pleasure to meet you both @JBar @gmrhodes13 ! I am within the south florida region, and will seek to join the Everglades Squad! I had the wonderful opportunity to acquire an ATA works TK stunt kit, and have been chipping away at it every weekend since Quick question regarding the return edges for the chest and back plate: the phenomenal centurion build thread by justjoseph 63 suggests very little return edges for the chest "arm opening" area, as well as the back plate arm opening area. What are your thoughts, gents? I've currently left a very healthy 2cm return edge on the chest plate arm opening, and have yet to begin trimming the back plate (waiting to confirm the return edge size before I tackle it ;) ) Thank you for your assistance in advance!!
  9. What a fantastic and informative post! Are there any return edges that you guys feel must be present in the armor (excluding the chest, ab, and kidney plate) in order to officially get legion- approved?
  10. Hey there! My name is Alex H, and I am currently working on my first costume: an ANH TK stunt kit! I am absolutely thrilled to work to join the 501st legion, and I look forward to getting excellent building advice from you guys! May the force be with you!
