  1. Hmmm interesting, I also use Firefox and W10 but haven't had issues in the past, will log in soon and try. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  2. Tony and I are trying to keep consistency with what Steve was doing while he was DO, He preferred it under the rivets which is at the seam. This was the preferred location for any armour that needed to be shimmed or where the check outs weren't in the moulds like AP used to be. I think we will have a finalised answer after the elections, as it is better timing for making any change to the language on the CRL. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  3. It's beautiful!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  4. Doopy also has a pipe build kit, which means you supply a piece of PVC pipe or similar for the barrel at the specified diameter and drill the holes and mount the resin parts to it. This is also approved to Centurion lvl. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. Keep up the outstanding work Eric, but take your time and if you do need a break, we will all still be here for you when you get back. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  6. Hey David, welcome to beginning your EI review, lets go straight to it!! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required photos have been posted, and thanks for adding the D ring and some extra thigh shots. Your armour looks great, but Ukswrath and I have had a good look at your application and there is one thing we would like to see adjusted before we grant you the EI badge. The cover strip on your thigh without the ammo pack needs to be trimmed shorter, as it should finish at the top of the ridge as in the Lucas archive photo below. Your thigh caparison photo Please make this mod and we can complete your review and get EI badge underway.

  8. Hi Davide, thank you for making those minor correction to your armor. You have a lot to be proud of here, you look great. Congratulations from Tony and myself and welcome to the rank of Centurion
  9. Great system John, thanks for posting this up.
  10. G'day Rob, thanks you for your EIB application, lets get to it! CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos are present, and your armor meets all EIB criteria, with that we would like to congratulate and welcome you the rank of Expert Infantry. You have some great armor there, with some adjusting and alignment, you will look even more awesome Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we cover off your overall appearance and balance of fit. If anything is identified that would effect a Centurion approval, it will be mentioned in that section below. Ok we have a few things here to cover, to get you looking the best you can so lets start at the top. Shoulder bell gap: The shoulder bells should be close to if not touching the bridges as in the image below. Simply shortening the attachment straps will reign these in. Chest plate and ab plate position: It looks like your chest plate is sitting a little high, and your ab plate too low. Looking at the small amount of back plate you have under the shoulder bridges we think the best resolution here will be to wear the ab plate higher if that is possible. This will fix the Ab plate from popping out from under the chest piece and also bring it more inline with the kidney plate misalignment visible in your left and right side photos. Side Shims: Great work here on those side shims, all you need to do is make up some ABS paste and fill in the extra seam sand it off with some fine sandpaper, a bit of wet n dry and then polish. CRL wording: A single visible seam line is present. Drop Box position: Lengthen the straps enough to allow the drop boxes to sit just below the plastic portion of your belt. At the moment they want to pop up and sit in front of the ammo belt sitting on the small lip. literally 5mm will fix this and allow them to sit directly below. Also make sure they are aligned with the outer edge of the plastic ammo portion, as in the image below. Rising shins:Looks like you have the comment problem of rising shins, the shin on the right in the below image actually looks a little shorter than the left. Your fellow troopers have chimed in on your ap thread with a suggested fix, another approach is to make an elastic styrrup that goes around your foot before you put your boots on, then attaches with Velcro to the inside front of the shin. Thank you to Altair TK 11157 for the use of his stirrup set up. He has said not only did they fix the rising problem, but they also eliminated his shins from twisting. Centurion Suggestions: This section we try and identify all things that might need changing or effect a Centurion application, so lets go through these. Cod rivet: This should not be painted white, so will require the paint removed. Elastic retaining straps: These are the 6mm wide elastic straps you see on the originals. They are what holds the shoulder bridges down to the back plate, and help keep the white thick elastic that runs from the chest to the back under the bridges in place. CRL wording for shoulder straps: The plastic shoulder straps need to be held down in the back via a white elastic band to the fabric that connects bridges and chest and back piece. Sniper plate position: Yours is a little low on the side we can see, it should be aligned with the ridge at the top of the shin. We know you are across these things as per your comments in the application thread, make the above mentioned mods and adjustment, and you will be looking supreme. congratulations Trooper

  12. Great job on those kidney notches, keep up the good work Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  13. Sorry all, the Photobucket outage will create a delay in EIB and Centurion reviews for the ones we need to add and mod photos for explanation purposes.
  14. Tie and AT-At helmets used the Hero face plate with only 3 teeth per side, so if they want accuracy, they will need a separate mold.
  15. Looking good. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  16. So Anovos have applied the 20% rule to recasting!!, may have casted parts from various makers, change them enough to make it their own so it's not called a recast. Sorry just a theory, I can't back that statement up with anything. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  17. You guys have too much time on your hands! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  18. Hi Jay and thank you for such a quick turn around on those two mods. You are now officially granted Centurion!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Great work on the shims, both on your sides and the back of the thighs. We are glad to see you took Gazmosis advice and re-did them. All your cover strips corrections look great, and are now more screen accurate, as they needed to be for this level. We do have a couple more suggestions though before we finish off your app. It's obvious you've been trooping in your armor as seen by some of the battle scars, excellent! When you get a moment please tough up the side rivets and you might want to reinforce the same side kidney shim as it appears to be cracking. You have a great looking set of armor Jay and this is why we're asking you address these areas. Great job trooper!
  19. Popcorn, this will be a great thread. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  20. Glad that these are finally in hand and a build thread has been started. Finally an end to the speculation and controversy. Now maybe we can get back to being plastic spacemen, feeling excited and seeing some great builds. Now where is that kidney notch!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  21. Alright Aaron. Incredible set of armor you have there, and thank you for your EIB application. Let,s get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required photos have been posted. Your armor contains all the necessary elements to qualify for EIB. With that, we would like to congratulate and welcome you to Expert Infantry. Congratulations!! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: Excellent job in constructing your armor, and that sweet blaster. Sorry with the confusion in requesting a photo of the 22mm notches. To be honest we thought we were looking at a Centurion application!! great work. With the quality of builds and applications we have coming through its hard to find fault, and this is no exception, so all we an focus on are little adjustments .If these have a bearing on any future Centurion application they will be mentioned in that section below, but for the best part the suggestions are to get you looking the absolute best you can. Cover strips: A couple of yours look like they may have a sharp point that could dig into you or potentially damage your under suit. The top of the strips on the back of the thighs, could have that small corner sanded down to follow the line of the ridge, also the top of the strip on your forearms. I know from personal experience armor bite sux when the top of the fore arm and bottom of the bicep armor come together with the tender part of your inner elbow jammed in between. Drop box thickness: Just check how thick these are as they should be approx 15mm. As you can see from this screen grab they are fairly slim. Centurion Suggestions: This is a simple one we would like to see for Centurion. I think either shorten the straps between your back and kidney plates or maybe lengthen the shoulder straps.either of these adjustments will close the gap occurring between the two. It does worsen when you raise your arms so maybe doing both should sort it out nicely. Congratulations again Aaron and hope to see a Centurion application from you soon
