  1. Agreed - it looks good but we'd need to see more photos. Smitty has it right about the eyes. It's also noted that you can wear the comlink + grappling hook as a replacement for the TD, but not in addition. Well at least for app photos - you can choose to add it with the TD if you want afterwards as you so choose.
  2. No worries - already had you covered Shoot some pix sometime - would be great to see your suit.
  3. Ideally you should move the butt plate down a tad so the split is visible below the belt, and it would cover a bit more of your backside. Otherwise it looks good to me. Terrell?
  4. The holy grail. I'd buy two suits instantly, price no barrier.
  5. Woo-hoo! Way to go Martin The lounge is on the other side of the blast doors, which you should now find opens to your access code.
  6. Updated - thanks Smitty! Some of the characters did funny stuff when escaped.
  7. Man, that's a good question. I don't think I've ever trooped without a weapon. =:-0
  8. Colin's FX looks really nice. The #1 thing you can do is to ensure it's properly fitted for you. To truly pimp it out you'd want to do all of the below, but you can really do which parts speak to you: 1) Replace the ab plate buttons with those from VaderDave 2) Replace the plastic belt with a canvas one. 3) Split the back in to butt/kidney plates 4) Do the chest plate / shoulder bell mod to trim them up and add return edges (or foam like Colin) You could really keep going and get latex hand plates too and a more accurate TD. It really comes down to what level of accuracy you want and your inclination. None of these really cost much money, just time.
  9. I think it depends on who's doing the painting. My first TE2 that was painted by Mike A. looked as good as AP to me. In some ways, better.
  10. Anytime Thayne FYI there is an open to-do list for the command staff to add the following moving forward: 1) Proposed CRL 2) Supporting screen caps 3) Additional forums to support the accessories. There already is one for BFG's, but we need to ensure that info on pauldrons, pouches, and packs are easy to find. 4) Proposed HWT Elite standards

  12. Heavy Weapons Troopers are EU (Expanded Universe) variations of the stormtrooper costume. In essence they are a standard ANH stormtrooper with the following accessories: 1) Back pack 2) BFG (e.g. large gun) 3) paulron 4) ammo pouches Sound similar to a sandtrooper? Yes, they do however the sandtrooper armor is not the same as a stormtrooper. Sandtrooper armor as seen in Tatooine was filmed first before production moved to England, and what we see elsewhere in the film is a refinement of that original concept. A stormtrooper plus a pauldron is NOT a HWT. While FISD does encourage troopers to have fun with their costumes, the HTW is not a license to mix and match bits. Troopers are recommended to comply with all the requirements, or else be a standard TK.

    Man flu

I'm home sick today with the flu. Thanks to Synaptyx for helping brighten an otherwise tough day: I'm going to have to get the UK this year, just to say "thanks"
  14. Memorandum for: First Imperial Stormtrooper Detachment Subject: Commission of Detachment Provost Marshall Be advised that effective immediately TK-2581 (HPDBlues - that's "sir" to you apes!) has been commissioned to take on the duties of detachment Provost Marshall. His duties, such as they are, include: 1) Keeping the DL out of jail. 2) Being the detachment's head moderator. Mind your P's and Q's lads. 3) Creating and fostering esprit de corp among forum members, old and new alike. 4) Ensuring that the detachment members' only jacuzzi is well stocked from the class 6 store. And of course "all other duties as assigned". Tony has extensive experience in managing forums being a prior XO of MEPD, and we know how rowdy our dirty brothers can be. In addition he has the highest level of integrity, and often set the example of what a trooper should be. With Aaron in the UK, me and most of the staff throughout the US, and Tony in the Pacific we should have close to round the clock coverage of these forums. Please help me extend congratulations to him - first round is on me lads! That is all. With unquestioned loyalty, TK-8020 "Daetrin" Detachment Leader End transmission...
  15. Tough call. I'd agree for that money you could get something that's less borderline.
  16. If you like adhesives, and I know some of you do!, check this out: -----
  17. Yay on stukatrooper and happy for you. Be sure to post pix
  18. Yes, no block cut out on the back. they are also narrower and more contoured in appearance and tapered at the bottom.
  19. Those older style thighs are the shizz. Heck, I've paid $65 or so alone just for them. It's a great first set - you can make it look good, no worries.
  20. Alas not due to no "U" shape of elastic. Still, for $12 they look like great all around shoes to wear.
  21. Hot glue or velcro is what I've used. I like velcro so I can replace / clean it more easily.
  22. Just wanted to give shout out on the build. It's great to see this come together piece by piece and now that we're done with the appetizers, can't wait to see the first course
  23. I believe the RT thighs cover more of the back. Will have to find that pix that Boozel posted - it shows a side by side comparison. -- digs to search engine --
  24. After a brief struggle I managed to coax Aaron in to the Communications Officer role. I think he'll be perfect - thanks Aaron for taking this on! The Morale Officer is now open, and I'm in search of my next victim...er I mean Staff Officer. Congrats Aaron!
  25. To be honest I don't recall. It wasn't inexpensive - I think it put the total cost just a bit over what CABoots were.
